    초록

    For all ceramic restorations, marginal accuracy, fracture resistance, and esthetics are required. In this study, we tried to
    compare the marginal gap and fracture resistance of all ceramic crowns with conventional metal ceramic crown. All ceramic
    crowns were IPS E.max Press(Ivoclar, Lichtenstein), Lava Zirconia (3M, U.S.A.) and Wol-ceram ELC Zirconia(Teamziereis,
    Germany). Metal ceramic crown(MCC) was composed of Au-Pt alloy(Metalor, Switzerlandand) and veneering ceramic(D-sign,
    Ivoclar, Lichtenstein). We fabricated metal master die with upper diameter of 7.95 mm, bottom diameter of 9.00 mm, height
    of 5.00 mm, and taper of 6゚. The thickness of metal coping was 0.3 mm, while those of the ceramic copings of all ceramic
    crowns were 0.5 mm. By adding dentin and enamel ceramics on each coping, crowns with total occlusal thickness of 2.0 mm
    were fabricated. As a load of 2 kg was applied for 10 seconds on each crown with static load compressor before and after
    cementation, the marginal gaps at 4 points of each crown were measured using a optical microscope. Fracture resistances,
    elastic modulus, and work to failure were measured by a universal testing machine(Z020, Zwick, Germany) with a crosshead
    speed of 1 mm/min. The data of marginal gaps were analyzed using a two-way ANOVA followed by Duncanʼs multiple range
    test at α=0.05. The fracture resistance, elastic modulus, and work to failure were analyzed using a one-way ANOVA followed
    by Duncanʼs multiple range test at α=0.05. IPS E.max and metal-ceramic crown showed significantly smaller marginal gaps
    than Lava Zirconia system before and after cementation(p<0.05). The fracture resistance of Wol-ceram and Lava Zirconia
    were significantly greater than IPS E.max and metal-ceramic crowns(p<0.05). The failure modes of Wol-ceram were cohesive
    failures within ceramic coping and those of Lava Zirconia was adhesive failures between ceramic coping and veneering
    ceramic. Metal-ceramic crown showed mainly adhesive failures between metal coping and veneering ceramic. It was
    concluded that the marginal accuracy of IPS E.max and metal-ceramic crown were better, while the fracture resistance of
    Wol-ceram and Lava Zirconia were higher than other groups.
