초록

Prime Minister Zhang Tingyu of Tongcheng, one of the most famous politicians, scholars and writers in the 18th century of China, experienced three periods of Kang, Yong and Qian in his life Since the middle of the 39th year of the Kangxi reign, he has long participated in and presided over the compilation of imperial books as a Hanlin official. His CEO has compiled historical works such as "The History of the Four Dynasties", "Kangxi Records", "Yongzheng Records", and "Ming History", among which "Ming History" has a unique achievement. In the long process of compiling history, he accepted the influence of the famous historical theorist Liu Zhiji of the Tang Dynasty, Kangxi Emperor of the early Qing Dynasty and Xu Qianxue, and formed a more systematic and practical idea of writing history books.
He advocates practicality in the world; In terms of the relationship between scriptures and history, he believes that history is the case of scriptures; In terms of the principle of chronicles, he advocates "expressing oneself directly according to the facts and returning to loyalty and kindness"; In the beginning, he is still cautious; In terms of material processing, he advocates for extensive and precise selection; In terms of language, he pursues concise and comprehensive language, with a shared focus on the period of the text. His historical writing ideas influenced the examinees through the proposition of the imperial examination, and intervened in the historical writing of Hanlin literati through the selection of historical materials written by them, thus directly affecting the writing of historical books during the Yongqian period.
