초록

<수월정30영>은 수은 강항(睡隱 姜沆, 1567~1618)이 섬진강 가에 자리한 수월정에서 바라본 풍광, 주변의 소리, 인간의 삶, 시간의 흐름, 나무와 물, 새와 송아지, 풍류 등을 읊은 연작시이다. <수월정30영>에 대해서는 기존 연구에서 시적 구성, 표현 양상, 비교 연구 등 다양한 측면의 연구 성과를 이루었다.
본고는 섬진강권 감성문화를 파악하고 수은 강항의<수월정30영>을 지역문화콘텐츠로 활용할 수 있는 발전 방안을 파악하는 것이 목적이다. 보다 객관적이고 상징적인 문화요소를 찾고 그 과정을 통하여 지역문화콘텐츠 발전 방향을 모색하는 일은 꼭 필요한 작업이기 때문이다. 이러한 점에서 <수월정30영>은 광양의 젖줄인 섬진강 주변 풍광과 지역민들의 소소한 삶을 읊은 지역적 특성을 지니고 있으므로 문화콘텐츠로서 주목되는 작품이다.
21세기는 문화경쟁 시대라고 일컬을 정도로 문화자원을 활용한 부가가치와 인간 삶의 윤택함을 지향하는 추세이다. 때문에 각 지자체들의 치열한 움직임이 다양한 채널을 통하여 감지된다. 이러한 때에 지역의 문화요소들을 탐색하고 연구하여 문화콘텐츠를 개발하고 연계 발전시켜나가는 일은 연구자들이 마땅히 풀어나가야 할 과제라고 여겨진다.
연구자들은 지역문화콘텐츠 발전 방안을 제시하고 해당 지자체는 이를 수용하여 보다 높은 지성과 감성을 겸비한 지역민들의 삶을 가꾸어줄 필요가 있다. 이는 지역 문화의 발전을 꾀하는 관심 있는 사람들과 연구자들이 앞장서서 노력할 때 가능한 일이다.
<수월정30영>의 문화콘텐츠화 및 활용 방안을 논의한 이 연구는 문화경쟁 사회가 도래된 지 몇 해가 지나도록 개발에 역점을 두고 문화도시 발전에 대한 사안을 소홀히 하고 있는 지자체 행정과 지역사회에 많은 변화를 가져오게 될 기반이 될 것이다. 광양에도 타 지역처럼 도시문화사업단이 꾸려져서 갖가지 문화사업들을 추진하고는 있다. 그러나 타 지역을 답습하고 있는 수준에서 크게 벗어나지 못하고 있다. 이러한 괴리감에서 벗어나기 위해서는 타 지역과 변별력 있는 문화사업들이 꾸려져야 할 것이다. 따라서 아름다운 풍광과 넉넉한 인심을 자랑하는 광양 지역만의 경쟁력 있는 문화콘텐츠의 정체성을 찾아 보다 발전적인 문화사업을 확장해나가야 한다.

영어초록

“Suwoljeong30Yeong (Suwol pavilion 30 poetic songs)” is a collaboratively composed type of Jeyeong‐shi (Subject‐given Song Reciting Poems), which Sueun Kang Hang (睡隱 姜沆, 1567~1618) recites the scenery viewed from Suwoljeong, located along the riverside of Seomjin‐river, the sound of the surroundings, human life, the passage of time, trees and water, birds and calves, poet’s elegances, etc. As for “Suwoljeong30 Yeong”, research results in various aspects such as poetic composition, expression patterns, and comparative studies were achieved in the previous studies.
The purpose of this study is to understand the emotional culture of the Seomjin‐river zone and to identify developmental strategies that can utilize Sueun Kang Hang's “Suwoljeong30Yeong” as local cultural contents. This is because finding more objective and symbolic cultural elements, and through the process, seeking directions for the development of local cultural contents is an essential task. From this perspective, “Suwoljeong30Yeong” is a work that attracts attention as a cultural content because it has regional characteristics that recite the surrounding scenery of Seomjin‐river, the lifeline of Gwangyang, and the tiny humble lives of local residents.
The 21st century is said to be an era of cultural competition, and now we are in a trend toward added value and the prosperity of human life using cultural resources. Therefore, the fierce movements of many local governments are detected through several channels. At this time, by exploring and researching regional cultural elements, developing cultural contents and bringing about progress in interdisciplinary efforts are tasks that researchers deserve to solve.
Strategies for the development of cultural contents should be presented, and the local government should accept them and lead the lives of local people with higher intelligence and emotion. This is possible when those interested people and researchers who seek the development of local culture take the lead and make efforts.
It is expected that this study, focusing on “Suwoljeong30Yeong”, will bring a lot of change to the local government administration and local community of Gwangyang, which has focused on development for several years since the advent of a cultural competition society, and neglects the issue of cultural city development. In Gwangyang too, as in many other regions, an urban cultural project team has been formed to promote various cultural projects. However, they have not been able to deviate greatly from the level that is following what other regions do. In order to get out of this sense of disparity, cultural projects that are differentiated from other regions should be organized. It is necessary to expand more advanced cultural projects by finding the identity of competitive cultural content unique to the Gwangyang region, for which we were proud of the beautiful scenery and generous humanity.
