예비 영․유아교사의 전통문화교육을 위한 출산관련 속신 탐색 (A Study on Folk Beliefs Related to Childbirth for Traditional Culture Education for Preservice Early Childhood Teachers)

초록

본 연구는 예비 영·유아교사의 전통문화에 대한 이해를 높이는 것과 함께 전통문화교육매체의 다양성을 추구하는데 목적을 둔 것이다. 이를 위해 출산관련 속신의 내용과 이에 대한 교육적 의미를 탐색하였다. 연구방법으로는 첫째, 속신관련 문헌 및 선행연구 등을 통해 속신의 개념과 특징, 종류 등을 파악하였다. 둘째, 출산관련 속신을 추출하여 출산 전(태몽, 임신, 태살)과 출산 후(금줄, 금기행동, 이름 짓기, 삼칠일, 백일, 돌)로 나누어 속신의 내용을 정리하였다. 셋째, 정리한 속신의 내용이 영유아발달이론과 함께 전통문화교육을 실행하기에 무리가 없는지에 대해 타당성을 검증받은 후 연구대상 속신의 교육적 의미를 탐색하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 태내기부터 영아기 속신의 대부분은 자식에 대한 ‘사랑’을 기저로 한 부모님의 인내와 희생을 필요로 하고 있다. 둘째, 어머니와 아기, 어머니와 아버지, 가족, 마을사람들 모두 속신이라는 매체를 통해 소통하며 공동체 규범을 실천하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 예비 영·유아교사의 전통문화에 대한 이해를 높이는 것과 함께 전통문화교육매체의 다양성을 추구하기 위한 기초연구로서 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다.

영어초록

The objective of this study is to increase the understanding of traditional culture and to seek the diversity of traditional culture educational media for preservice early childhood teachers. The objective of this study is to increase preservice-early childhood teachers’ understanding of traditional culture, and also to seek for the diversity of education media for traditional culture. For this, this study set up a research question based on the exploration of contents of folk beliefs related to childbirth and the educational meanings. In the research methods, first, the concept, characteristics, and types of folk beliefs were understood through literature and preceding researches related to folk beliefs. Second, the contents of folk beliefs were organized by extracting the folk beliefs related to childbirth, and then dividing them into before childbirth(dream of conception, pregnancy, avoidance of bad spirits to fetus) and after childbirth(straw rope, taboo acts, naming, twenty-first day of life, hundredth day of life, first birthday). Third, after verifying the validity of the organized contents of folk beliefs in the aspect of carrying out the traditional culture education together with the theory of young children development, the educational meanings of folk beliefs as the research subject were explored. In the results of this study, first, most of the folk beliefs from prenatal period to infancy require parents’ patience and sacrifice based on ‘love’ for their children. Second, everyone such as mother and baby, mother and father, family, and village people communicate through media, and practice community norms. The significance of this study is a basic research for increasing the preservice early childhood teachers’ understanding of traditional culture and also seeking the diversity of traditional culture educational media.
