초록

코로나 시대의 인간이 겪고 있는 외로움의 감정 이면에는 사회적 부조와 연 대를 통한 생존전략이 담겨 있다. 인간은 자연에 대한 탁월한 적응을 통해 자 신의 정신을 자연에서 분리해 자연의 법칙에서 해방되어 자유를 얻게 되었고, 정신의 활동으로 자아와 사회, 그리고 관계라는 관념을 만들어 개체적 생명을 넘어 역사와 문명을 건설한다. 개인의 정체성은 타자와의 관계성 안에서 만들 어지고, 개인의 행복을 실현하기 위해서는 반드시 공동체가 있어야 한다. 그리 고 공동체 안의 구성원은 모두가 평등하고 공정하게 대우받기를 원한다. 더 나 아가 인간은 인간 이외의 모든 존재자와의 관계뿐만 아니라 초월적 절대자를 상정하고 지향하면서 자기 실존의 문제를 해결하고 자아를 완성한다. 그런데 자연과 인간이 근대 산업시대 이후 분리되어 인간의 자연에 대한 착취가 심해 지자 지구 시스템이 격노하며 인간에게 보복하는 양상으로 기후 위기와 종의 멸종을 예고하고 있다. 이 위기를 극복하기 위해서는 다음과 같은 질문이 관건 이다. 즉 자연 생명의 진화와 정신의 진보를 통일적 지향의 원리 안에서 해석 할 수 있을지, 자유가 제한되더라도 지구와 인간이 화해할 수 있는 실천의 길 을 제시할 수 있을지가 중요하다. 나는 이 소논문에서 지구 생명의 진화와 정 신(의식)의 확장이 통합적으로 이루어지는 지평으로서 ‘생태영성학’을 기초 놓 으려 시도한다. 생태영성학은 지구의 생명성을 보존하고 지구에서 생명을 유 지하는 생물 종의 다양성을 인류가 책임지며 지속 가능한 인류가 되도록 인간이 의지적이고 진보적으로 노력하는 학술적 소통의 장이 될 것이다. 이런 소통 을 통해 지구상에 존재하는 모든 생명체와 존재자의 존재가치를 인정하고 보 존을 위해 노력하는 것이 인간에게 부여된 창조자의 명령이라는 테제는 근거 지어질 것이다.

영어초록

Behind the feelings of loneliness that humans are experiencing now in the Corvi- Era, there is a survival strategy through social assistance and solidarity. Through the excellent adaptation of man to nature, man has been freed by separating his mind from nature, and through the activity of the mind, the idea of self, society, and relationship is created, transcending individual life, and building history and civilization. Therefore individual identity can be created by the relationship with others, and there must be the society in order to realize personal happiness, And all members of the society want to be treated equally and fairly. Furthermore, human beings solve the problem of their own existence and complete their desires by assuming and aiming for a transcendental absolute as well as relationships with all non-human beings. However, as the nature and human beings have been separated since the modern industrial revolution and human exploitation of nature has intensified, the earth system is furious and retaliatory against humans, leading to a climate crisis and extinction of species. To overcome this crisis, the key is whether we can interpret the evolution of life on Earth and the progress of the mind(human soul) in the principle of a unified orientation, and whether we can provide a practical path for reconciliation between the nature and humans even if freedom is limited. In this small thesis, I tried to ground up 'the study of ecology spirituality' as a horizon where the evolution of life on Earth and the progress of the mind (consciousness) are integrated. Eco spirituality preserves the vitality of the earth and makes humankind responsible for the diversity of the species that sustain their life on the earth, and becomes a place of academic communication in which humans will and progressively strive to become a sustainable human civilization. The thesis that preserving the existence and value of all living things on Earth is in the era of earth-crisis the Categorical Imperative will be grounded in the thesis that it is the Creator's Order to the humankind evolved in mind and will.
