초록

중일전쟁 발발 후 중국으로 망명해 독립전쟁을 준비하고 있던 좌우익 독립운동진영은 이를 독립전쟁의 절호의 기회로 여겨 한중공동항전을 적극적으로 추진하였다. 그러나 중일전쟁 당시 한국독립운동세력이 정규군대를가지고 있지 못했기 때문에 한중 공동항전은 실전에 참가하는 것 보다는 첩보활동의 형식으로 진행되었다.
김구와 주로 연대활동을 전개한 기관은 CC파이다. 김구는 중일전쟁 후 후방교란 작전을 수행할 적합한 인물을 찾았고, 그가 찾은 사람이 바로 조상연이다. 그는 1938년 천진으로 파견되어 이 지역의 일본군 정보를수집해 김구와 CC파에게 보내는 일을 하다가 일본에 피체되어 순국하고 말았다.
김원봉과 관계를 맺고 함께 천진, 상해 등 각 주요 도시에서 일본군 정보수집 활동을 전개한 기관은 삼민주의역행사이다. 이들은 적 정세 자료의 번역, 일본전쟁포로의 관리와 훈련, 일본군 내 한인에 대한 선동과 탈출, 일본군에 대한 심리작전 진행, 중국군대에 협조해 선전활동 및 유격전쟁 참가 등의 임무를 수행하였다.
중일전쟁 후 한중 간 공동항일투쟁은 한국독립운동사에 있어서, 그리고 중국 항전사에 있어서 큰 의미를 지닌다고 하겠다.
첫 번째는 실질적으로 1931년 일본의 만주침공을 시작으로 1937년 중일전쟁 이후 대부분의 관내지역이 부일, 친일화 되어 독립운동이 전개되지 못했다고 하는 인식을 바꿀 수 있는 근거가 된다.
두 번째는 윤봉길 의거 이후 중국 측으로부터 받았던 정신적, 물질적 지원이 결코 중국 측으로부터 받은 일방적 수혜가 아니었음을 의미한다. 중국군 내부에 일본군 정보 수집을 담당할 만한 인력이 부족한 상황에서한인독립운동가들의 역할은 매우 중요한 것이었다.
세 번째는 중국항일전쟁사의 의미를 세계제국주의에 대한 투쟁으로 확대할 수 있다는 것이다.
마지막으로 이 같은 한중이 함께 활동했던 역사적 연대감은 일본의 급속한 우경화에 대응할 수 있는 강력한제재로, 동북아의 평화와 안정을 유지하는데 큰 도움이 될 것이다.

영어초록

After the outbreak of Sino-Japanese War, the independence movement camps of the left and right wings which defected to China to prepare for independence war took such outbreak as an opportunity for the independence war, and actively promoted the joint resistance by Korea and China. However, the Korean forces of independence movement didn’t have a regular military at the time of Sino-Japanese War, and thus the joint resistance by Korea and China focused on special duties rather then participating in actual battles.
Central Club was the organization which mostly launched united activities with Kim Gu of the right wing’s camp. After the Sino-Japanese War, Kim Gu looked for the right person who can execute the confusion operation at the rear, and finally found Cho Sang-hyeon. Cho was sent to Tianjin in 1938 to collect information of the Japanese military and send it to Kim Gu and Central Club. However, he was later caught by the Japanese Empire and sacrificed.
Meanwhile, the organization which made ties with Kim Won-bong of the left wing’s camp and launched activities of collecting Japanese military information at major cities including Tianjin, Shanghai etc was sanminzhuyi lixingshe. Sanminzhuyi lixingshe executed duties such as translating information on the enemy’s circumstances, managing Japanese POW, training, instigating and extricating Koreans in the Japanese military, launching psychological operations against Japanese government troops, conducting propaganda activities by cooperating with the Chinese military and participating in guerilla wars.
The joint resistance against Japan by Korea and China after the Sino-Japanese War has great significances in the histories of Korean independence movement as well as the Chinese resistance movement.
First, it is the basis of changing the recognition assuming that independence movements couldn’t take place because most of the areas turned pro-Japanese starting from the Japanese invasion of Manchuria in 1931 and after the Sino-Japanese War in 1937.
Second, it means that the mental and physical support received from China after the heroic deed of Yun Bong-gil was not one-sided benefits. Under the situation where manpower collecting information from the Japanese military was insufficient inside the Chinese military, the role of Korean independence activists was very important.
Third, the significance of the history of Chinese resistance movement could be extended to the fight against global imperialism.
Finally, the historic bond of joint resistance is a powerful force that can deal with the drastic conservative swing of Japan, helping greatly the maintenance of peace and stability in Northeast Asia.
