역사인물형 디지털휴먼의 융합 전시기획 연구 (A Study on the Convergence Exhibition Planning of Digital : Human of Historical Person)

초록

2017년 이후 AI기술의 비약적인 발전을 배경으로 역사인물형 디지털휴먼 개발이 많이 진행되었다. 그동안의 선행연구는 AI기술에 기반하여 역사인물과의자연스러운 대화가 가능하게 하는 기술 발전에 주목한 연구가 많았다. 최근 들어역사인물형 디지털휴먼과의 대화에서 ‘사전 이해’의 부족에 기인한 비유효 질문이나 왜곡된 대화를 줄이기 위해서 다양한 기획개발상의 연구 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 본 연구는 국내외 역사인물형 디지털휴먼 사례 10건을 사례조사 하여 이러한문제점에 대한 개선방향을 제시하고 역사인물형 디지털휴먼이 포함된 융합적인전시기획과정을 제시하는 데 목적을 둔다. 연구결과를 4가지로 나눠서 보면, 첫째, 역사인물의 복원을 위하여 외모-행동-대화 자료뿐만 아니라 인물을 감싸고 있는 무대와 인물이 관여한 사건을 1차자료 조사범위로 확대해야 한다. 둘째, 조사 고증한 자료를 기반으로 무대-인물-사건이 유기적으로 체험되는 융합적인 전시구조를 구성하여야 한다. 셋째, 디지털휴먼과의 자연스런 대화를 유도하기 위하여 전시 도입단계부터 해소단계까지 관람자시나리오를 만들어 역사인물형 디지털휴먼을 만나기 전에 충분한 ‘사전이해’를 한 다음 최종적으로 역사인물과의 대화하고 대화 과정에 다양한 이벤트를 도입하여야 한다는 점이다. 결론적으로 이를 종합적으로 구현하기 위한 역사인물형 디지털휴먼 개발과정을 융합한 전시기획과정을 새롭게 제안한다. 이를 통하여 디지털휴먼의 다른 유형과 달리 역사인물형은 역사전시의 중요한 부분으로 기능하며 전시의 주인공인역사인물의 다면성을 이해하고 몰입감을 높일 수 있다.

영어초록

Since 2017, many digital human developments for historical figures have been conducted against the backdrop of the rapid development of AI technology. There have been many studies focusing on technological development that enables natural conversations with historical figures based on AI technology. In recent years, in order to reduce ineffective questions or distorted conversations due to lack of ‘prior understanding’ in conversations with historical figure-type digital humans, the need for research on various planning and development needs has been raised.
This study aims to present the improvement direction for these problems and to present a convergent exhibition planning process that includes historical person digital human beings by conducting a case study of 10 domestic and foreign historical person-type digital human cases.
Dividing the research results into four categories, first, in order to restore historical figures, it is necessary to expand not only appearance-action-conversation data, but also the stage and events surrounding the characters to the scope of the primary data investigation. Second, it is necessary to construct a convergent exhibition structure in which the stage-person-event is organically experienced based on the data researched and verified. Third, in order to induce a natural conversation with digital humans, a viewer scenario should be created from the introduction stage to the resolution stage of the exhibition, and then sufficient ‘prior understanding’ should be made before meeting digital humans with historical figures, and then various events should finally be introduced into the conversation process.
In conclusion, we propose a new exhibition planning process that combines the development process of a digital human being for a historical person to comprehensively realize this. Through this, unlike other types of digital human, the historical person type functions as an important part of historical exhibitions, and can understand the multifacetedness of the historical person who is the protagonist of the exhibition and increase the sense of immersion.
