<겨울왕국>을 통해 본 여주인공의 소외성과 욕망 (The Alienation and Desire of Female Protagonists Seen through )

디즈니 애니메이션을 새로운 변화와 최고의 자리를 만들어준 <겨울왕국> (Frozen, 2013)은 여성 캐릭터의 사회적 변화와 인식 그리고 성격의 변화를 모색했다. 그 중에서 특히 여주인공들의 내적 갈등과 자기방어를 위한 무의식적인 심리의 자기 소외와 캐릭터 분석을 통해 인간 본질에 대한 근원적인 요소들을 탐색하는데 목적을 두었다. 디즈니 애니메이션 영화의 많은 여성 캐릭터는 자기 주도적이거나 여성들의 연합을 통해 문제를 해결하여 여성의 주체성을 보이며, 자신의 운명을 개척하고자 하는 의지가 강하며, 캐릭터의 성장을 통해 스스로를 개발시킨다. 전형적인 디즈니 여성 캐릭터와 비교적 다른 겨울왕국의 여성 주인공의 캐릭터는 자기 스스로의 자기 소외 즉 고립에서 벗어나고 싶었던 그녀를 더 고립시키는 아이러니를 불러온다. 따라서 본 논문은 디즈니 애니메이션 <겨울왕국>(Frozen, 2013)을 선정하였다. 이 작품의 장면 분석을 통해 자기 소외성, 여성 이데올로기, 그리고 욕망의 관계를 분석해본다. 그리고 익숙한 소재와 캐릭터, 서사를 사례로 인간의 주체를 살피고, 인간의 소외와 욕망을 알지 못하는 무의식의 세계를 탐구하여 두 여주인공의 내재된 욕망을 탐구하는데 라캉의 욕망이론은 필수적이다. 본 연구는 이를 바탕으로 두 여성 주인공의 성격특성 분석을 통한 캐릭터들의 개성과 다양화된 특징들을 살펴보고, 장면 분석을 통해 오해와 갈등의 원인이 된 자아의 차이를 인정하는 과정을 보며, 소외된 인물에 응답하는 자기소외성을 표출하는 도구를 검증하였다. 또한 이데올로기적인 캐릭터 분석을 활용해 심리적 요인과 자기 소외 그리고 욕망도 검증했다. 이러한 접근은 <겨울왕국>(Frozen, 2013) 여성 주인공의 자기소외성과 캐릭터 특징을 분석 도구로 활용하여, 결핍과 두려움이 욕망을 왜곡시키는 변이로 작용하는 자기 소외의 새로운 접근으로 인간의 다양한 욕망, 무의식, 언어를 통한 소외성을 자기 방어 기제에 의한 욕망의 왜곡 메시지를 볼 수 있었다. 본 연구가 여성 주인공의 캐릭터 특징과 자기소외성, 그리고 인간 욕망의 양상을 심층적으로 정신분석학에 기대었고, 애니메이션 영화의 연출적 효과와 캐릭터의 소외성과 인간 욕망의 관계성 설정 시에 대중적 기호에 부합되는 작품이다.

영어초록

In order to understand Frozen(2013), which brought about new changes to Disney animations and placed it in the top of its field, better, this study aims at exploring the fundamental elements of the essence of humans through the inner conflicts of the female main characters, subconscious psychological self-alienation for self-defense, and analysis of characters. Many female characters of animated Disney movies are self-directed but display female independence by solving problems through solidarity of women, and they have a strong will to pioneer their own fate, and develop themselves through character growth. The female main character of Frozen, who is relatively different compared to typical female Disney characters, brings about an irony in which her desire to break away from self-alienation on her own actually isolates her further. Therefore, this paper analyzes the scenes of the Frozen animation film to study the relationships of self-alienation, female ideology, and desires. It uses familiar materials, characters and narratives as cases to examine the main agent of humans and explores the world of the subconscious that does not know human alienation and desires to search for the value of existence of the two main female characters. First, the uniqueness and diverse features of characters were examined through personality feature analysis of the two main female characters. Second, scenes were analyzed to investigate the process of acknowledging the differences of the ego that became the cause of misunderstanding and conflict, while verifying the tools that expressed self-alienation in response to the alienated characters. Third, psychological elements, self-alienation and desires were verified using ideological character analysis. Such approach uses analysis tools for the features of self-alienation of the female characters of Frozen(2013) and character features, thereby showing a distorted message of desires resulting from self-defense mechanisms for alienation through various desires, subconscious, and language of humans with a new approach of self-alienation in which deficiency and fear act as a variable that distorts desires. This study showed that the character features of the female main character and the modes of self-alienation and human desires leaned deeply on psychoanalysis, and that the production effects of the animation film and that the character’s alienation and setting the relationship with human desires met public preferences.
