해금연주법고찰 －바이올린, 북한해금과 비교하여－ (Contemplation of South Korean Hae-Gum’s Performance Technique -with the comparison of Violin and North Korean Hae-Gum-)

초록

이 글은 해금 연주법에 관한 각종 지도서 및 문헌을 중심으로 해금연주법을 조사하여 그 문제점을 찾아 이를 바이올린과 북한해금과 비교하여 더 좋은 연주 지도서를 개발하기 위한 디딤돌로 삼기 위한 글이다.
본문에서 주로 연주자세, 운지법, 농현, 운궁법 등을 중점적으로 고찰하였는데 그 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 본문에서 언급한 것과 같이 의자에서의 연주 자세를 북한에서와 같이 대체로 두 발은 연주자 어깨넓이만큼 벌리고 악기는 무릎에서 약 10센티미터 올라와 양쪽 무릎 사이에 고정 하는 것이 좋다고 생각한다.
둘째, 운지법의 경우 한국 문헌에선 손가락 짚는 법, 왼손 짚는 법만 설명되어 있을 뿐 구체적인 운지법에 대한 설명이 부족하다. 그러므로 본문에서 언급 한 것과 같이 바이올린의 풍부한 음량과 음색을 내게 하는 운지법과 북한해금의 운지법인 손가락 운동을 한국해금의 운지법에 응용 보완되어 진다면 좀 더 향상된 연주를 할 수 있는 운지법이 될 것이다.
셋째, 농현의 경우 한국문헌에서는 농현의 종류 4가지에 대한 간략한 설명만이 있을 뿐이다. 그러므로 북한해금의 깊은 농현, 얕은 농현, 느린 농현, 빨라지는 농현, 미분음 농현 같은 농현을 한국음악에 산조, 정악, 창작곡에 두루 응용되어야 할 것이다.
또 북한해금과 바이올린의 농현을 할 때 손의 운동력, 관절의 힘 빼는 방법, 손 짚는 법, 연주방법 등의 구체적인 방법이 보완된다면 좀 더 다채롭고 깊이 있는 농현을 할 수 있는 길잡이가 될 것이다.
마지막으로 운궁법의 경우 활 잡는 법, 활 쓰는 법, 그리고 활의 속도와 마찰력, 활의․접촉점, 등 여러 부문에 관해 본문에서 언급 한 것과 같이 바이올린의 운궁법을 참고하고, 북한해금의 오른팔 기본동작, 즉, 활을 당기고, 밀고, 바꾸는 구체적인 운궁법도 참고 응용 하면 좋은 해금 운궁법이 될 것이다.
◎특히 “활의 접촉점(sounding point)부분에서 손가락의 줄짚는 위치가 원산(bridge)의 위치에서 높이 올라갈수록 활의 접촉점은 높아지고 반대로 줄짚는 위치가 원산 쪽으로 가까워질수록 접촉점은 낮아진다.
◎좋은 음을 내기위한 바람직한 활의 각도는 줄과 활의 정확한 수직이어야 하며, 활의 압력은 진폭의 규모에 따라 공명에 영향을 미친다. 속도를 중심으로 소리를 내면 소리는 부드럽고 가벼우며, 압력을 중심으로 소리를 내면 소리가 무겁고 충만하다.
◎활을 바꾸는 동작에 있어서는 손이 멈추는 순간 없이 팔을 연속적으로 당겨줌으로 미는 활과 당기는 활이 자연스럽게 연결되어야 한다는 부분은 특기해야 할 부분이다.
지금까지 해금의 주법을 바이올린, 북한 개량해금과 비교해 본 바 바이올린, 북한해금, 한국해금은 차이점을 가지고 있으면서도 유사점이 있다. 연주법에 있어서 서로의 장점을 참고하여 해금음악을 발전시킨다면 한국음악 발전에도 도움이 되는 일이라 생각된다. 본 연구를 기초로 해금의 향상된 연주와, 이 연구를 기초로 더욱 구체화된 연주법 연구, 그리고 그에 따른 교재 연구에도 도움이 되길 바란다.

영어초록

Korean Hae-Gum and north korean Hae-Gum are consist of body and neck. The bow and the body of Violin and North Korean Hae-Gum are separated but Korean Hae-Gum is not. Also, Violin and North Korean Hae-Gum have the Finger board but Korean Hae-Gum does not. However there is a similarity in that they use the bow.
This research is about the comparison of Violin, North Korean Hae-Gum which is developed based on Violin and South Korean Hae-Gum to look for better performance technique of South Korean Hae-Gum.
For the better performance technique of South Korean Hae-Gum, I found it requires improvements from various points i.e. performance posture, The Finger Position Technique, Vibrato, and Bowing Technique.
The first, it is better for players to match the distance between feet same as the one between shoulders and the instrument has to be fixed between two knees 10cm toward body.
The second, in case of The Finger Position Technique, we do not have much explanation apart from left hand finger positioning. Therefore, as it is mentioned earlier, South Korean Hae-Gum will be able to produce richer sound, by introducing the techniques from the one of violin and North Korean Hae-Gum.
The third, we have only brief explanation about the 4 types of vibrato. Therefore many different type of North Korean Hea-Gum’s vibrato will be the example that should be widely applied to San-Jo, Jung-Ak and Chang-Jak-Gok.
Also, the application of their detailed vibrato technique such as the way of control the power of the joints that we use to play, finger positioning for vibrato and the way of playing, to South Korean Hae-Gum could be big help to make its vibrato in depth and diversified.
The last, we can learn from Violin and North Korean Hae-Gum about the Bowing Technique. Violin can be a good reference for us to improve the way of grabbing and using the bow and the explanation about the speed, friction and sounding point of bow while North Korean Hae-Gum could be the one for basic move of right arm i.e. pushing and pulling.
Especially the higher your finger positions from the bridge, the higher sounding point you have. Whereas the closer you finger positions to the bridge the lower sounding point you have.
The strings and the bow of Hae-Gum should meet perpendicular to make better sound. If you play focused on it’s speed, the sound is light and soft and focusing on it’s pressure produces relatively heavy and abundant sound proving the fact that The pressure of bow affects to resonance depend on amplitude.
We should make sure that the bow should keep on moving without any stopping where you change the way of the bow from pushing to pulling and vice versa.
So far we compared South Korean Hae-Gum’s the way of playing to the one of North Korean Hae-Gum and Violin. There were clear discrepancy and similarity between them. It will be obvious contribution to the development of the music of Hae-Gum and, furthermore, entire Korean traditional music if we apply strong points of the other two instruments to ours. I hope that this research contribute to improvement of play, the researches of the way of playing and teaching aids by developing the playing technique.
