초록

In the 21st century society called the hyper-connected era, globalization and technological innovation are key drivers of socioeconomic change, and so many people share the most private and intimate details of their lives with the world. In this situation, it is very likely that something is interfering with the trajectory of online sharing.
In this era when science and technology play a major role in the real world, it goes without saying that it is very important to use science and technology wisely in order for mankind to build a better world. The question is how it is possible to make wise use of 21st century science and technology which is so complex that it cannot be viewed in its entirety and thus is almost out of control. Therefore, in order to gain insight into the unpredictability of the 21st century society and seek alternatives, this thesis tries to analyze David Pledger's play K (2002) from the perspective of allegorical representation of the ‘global brain’ and ‘mind uploading’ that are predicted as a virtual future technology.
First of all, this thesis examines the term allegory, a representative literary device of Western literature, and then reviews the overall plot of the work K and several domestic and foreign research materials on K. Next, I would like to predict what will happen to the future society through the allegorical representation of ‘Global Brain’ and ‘Mind Uploading’ dramatized in K, and remind you of the fact that we must critically question the institutions and cultural frameworks that shape our technology.
