큐비즘의 조형 요소를 응용한 업사이클링 패션 제품디자인 (Upcycling Fashion Product Design Using Cubism's Formative Elements)

초록

본 연구는 큐비즘의 개념을 바탕으로, 생산단계에서 발생하는 잉여 원단을 활용한 업사이클링 패션 제품디자인을 구현하고자 한다. 다수에게 선호되는 미적 가치체계를 지니며 독창적인 희소성의 가치가있는 디자인을 제시함으로써, 고부가가치의 상품성을 지닌 업사이클링 패션 제품디자인을 창출하고그에 따른 상품화 가능성을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 방법은 업사이클링과 큐비즘의 개념을 고찰하고, 관련 선행연구를 통해 큐비즘의 조형적 특성을 분석하였으며, 유형별 작품사례를 기반으로 표현특성과 표현 기법을 도출하였다. 이를 본 연구자의 감성으로 재해석하여 총 4점의 드로잉 작업을 하였으며, 도출된 요소들을 시뮬레이션 과정을 통해서 재구성하고 본 연구자가 수집해놓은 다양한 잉여 원단들을 재료로 사용하여 디자인으로 전개하였다. 총 4점의 업사이클링 패션 제품디자인을 구현하였다.
그 결과, 도출된 조형적 특성과 표현 특성은 디자인 전개 시 각 디자인에 효율적으로 적용되며, 창의적인 패션 제품디자인을 위한 아이디어의 기초가 됨을 알 수 있었다. 잉여 원단은 조각으로 나뉘어진특성상 큐비즘의 도출된 표현 특성을 모티브로 재해석하고 작품으로 구현하기에 최적화된 재료임을확인할 수 있었다. 미술사조를 통한 디자인 아이디어는 업사이클링 제품디자인의 고부가가치 상품화로써 무한한 가능성이 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서, 본 연구는 현대사회 전반적으로 부각되고 있는 심각한 환경 문제해결의 필연성에 착안하여 업사이클링 디자인에 주목하였으며, 업사이클링 패션제품디자인을 연구 및 제작하였다. 지속적으로 패션인들의 업사이클링 패션 제품디자인의 관심과 연구가 필요하다고 사료되며, 끊임없는 연구와 개발을 통해서 독창적이며 다양화된 고부가가치 업사이클링 패션 제품디자인 상품들이 제작되길 바란다.

영어초록

Based on the concept of cubism, this study aims to implement an upcycling fashion product design using surplus fabrics generated in the production stage. The purpose is to create upcycling fashion product designs with high value-added marketability and to present the possibility of commercialization accordingly by presenting designs that have an aesthetic value system favored by the majority and the value of original scarcity. As for the research method, the concepts of upcycling and cubism were reviewed, the formative characteristics of cubism were analyzed through related previous studies, and expression characteristics and expression techniques were derived based on work cases by type. A total of 4 drawings were performed by reinterpreting this into the sensibility of this researcher, and the derived elements were reconstructed through a simulation process and developed into a design using various surplus fabrics collected by this researcher as materials. A total of 4 upcycling fashion product designs were implemented. As a result, it can be seen that the derived formative characteristics and expressive characteristics are efficiently applied to each design at the time of design development, and are the basis for ideas for creative fashion product design. Due to the nature of the surplus fabric divided into sculptures, it was confirmed that it was an optimized material for reinterpreting the derived expression characteristics of cubism as a motif and implementing them as works. It was confirmed that design ideas through art trends have infinite possibilities as high value-added commercialization of upcycling product design. Therefore, this study focused on the upcycling design, focusing on the necessity of solving serious environmental problems that are emerging as a whole in modern society, and studied and produced the upcycling fashion product design. It is believed that the interest and research of fashion people's upcycling fashion product design are continuously needed, and we hope that original and diversified high value-added upcycling fashion product design products will be produced through constant research and development.
