황지우 ‘해체시’ 텍스트의 의미생성과정 고찰 -시적 언어로서의 상호텍스트성과 관련하여- (A study on the significance process of Hwang Ji-woo's ‘deconstruction poetry’ -In relation to its intertextuality as a poetic language-)

초록

본고는 황지우의 시론인 ‘시적인 것’에 대한 검토와 그 시론을 배경으로 하여 문학사적 차원에서 일명 ‘해체시’로 불리웠던 그의 대표적인 ‘형태파괴 시’의 의미생성과정에 관한 고찰을 목적으로 한다. “나는 ‘시’를 추구하지 않고 ‘시적인 것’을 추구한다.”는 황지우의 ‘시적인 것’에 대한 명제는 당시의 관습적인 시 장르의 해체와 갱신으로서의 시적 방법론이라고 할 수 있는 바, 이 ‘시적인 것’의 의미 맥락을 전제로 하여 ‘해체시’ 텍스트의 의미생성과정을 시적 언어로서의 상호텍스트성 개념을 빌어 고찰하고자 기획한 것이다.
본고에서 살펴 본 시적 언어로서의 상호텍스트성은 일반적이고 논리적인 언어와는 달리 시적 언어가 갖는 특성인데, 시적 언어는 몇 개의 약호가 교차하면서 서로를 부정하는 관계에 놓여있으므로 시적 언어로서의 상호텍스트성은 텍스트의 단일하고 통합된 의미를 거부한다는 측면에서 텍스트의 복수성, 불확정성과 관련되고, 역사적이고 문화적이며, 사회적인 진행과정에 연결된다는 측면에서 동시대의 정치성과 연결된다. 따라서 시에서의 상호텍스트성은 수평적 차원(쓰기 주체와 수신자)과 수직적 차원(동시대의 역사, 문화, 사회적 텍스트들)을 통해 텍스트의 열린 구조를 지향하는 기제가 되는데, 본고에서는 이러한 상호텍스트성을 통해 황지우의 ‘해체시’ 텍스트가 생산한 의미의 복수성, 불확정성과 ‘시적인 것’과 ‘정치적인 것’의 동시적인 공존 가능성에 대한 시학적 규명을 시도해 보았다. 특히나 ‘시적인 것’과 관련된 황지우의 시론을 검토한 결과 추출된 핵심 키워드를 의미의 복수성, 불확정성, 현실지시성으로 설정하여 그의 ‘해체시’ 텍스트와 결부시켜 살펴보고자 할 때, 시적 언어로서의 상호텍스트성은 ‘보기’와 ‘보여주기’로서의 ‘간주관성’과 “미적인 것은 정치적이며, 정치적인 것은 미적이다”라는 그의 ‘시적인 것’과 ‘정치적인 것’의 동시공존가능성을 시학적으로 규명해줄 수 있는 유효한 방법 을 제공해주었다.

영어초록

This study aims to examine ‘the poetic’ which is well known as the poetic theory of Ji-woo Hwang, and to investigate the process of text significance in his representative ‘poems with deconstruction of form’ that used to be called as ‘deconstruction poetry’ in the history of literature, with his poetic theory as a background. “I do not pursue ‘poetry’ but ‘the poetic’”, said Ji-woo Hwang and this thesis of ‘the poetic’ could be seen as a poetic methodology as destruction and renewal of conventional genre of poetry at that time. Thus, with the context of significance of ‘the poetic’ as a prerequisite, the process of text significance is examined in this study with the concept of intertextuality in poetic language. The intertextuality of poetic language in this study is a particular characteristics of poetic language, distinguished from the general and logical language, and as the poetic language involves mutual denial in the crossing of a few codes, it is related to the plurality and uncertainty of text from that point of view, and it is also connected with the political nature of the era as it is related to the process of historical, cultural and social development. Therefore, the intertextuality in poetry becomes the base to pursue the open structure of texts through horizontal level (the subjective writer and the receiver) as well as the vertical level (historical, cultural and social texts of the time), and in this study, it is attempted to clarify whether the plurality and uncertainty of significance in the texts produced by Ji-woo Hwang’s ‘deconstruction poetry’ could co-exist coincidentally with ‘the poetic’ and ‘the political’. Especially, the keywords resulted from the research of the poetic theory of Ji-woo Hwang in relation to ‘the poetic’, have been decided to be plurality, uncertainty and reality-referentiality, in order to connect it with his texts of ‘deconstruction poetry’, and that has provided a base for an effective method to clarify the possibility of the coincidental coexistence of intertextuality as poetic language and the ‘intersubjectivity’ of ’seeing’ and ‘showing’, and ‘the poetic’ and ‘the political’, as shown in his argument of ‘the beautiful is political and the political is beautiful.’
