時間関係節に見られる日本語と韓国語の様相―「～中」と「～後」を中心に―

In this research paper, the relationship between 「~tsu」 and「~go」, which combines the Chinese character nouns in Japanese, and consideration of 「~jung」and「~hu」with regard to morphological, semantic, and syntactic features between Korean and the Japanese language, are examined. A brief summary of the results follows.
The Korean「~jung」and 「~huJ, which correspond to the Japanese「~tsu」and 「~go」 may seem to be related morphologically and semantically, but not syntactically. In Japanese, the time related situation can be expressed in the type of 「chinese character noun＋go」or 「chinese character noun＋suru＋go」. However, in Korean, the combination of Chinese and Korean such as 「chinese character noun＋hu」is highly unnatural. Thus, the type of 「hada」can be used between Chinese letters and Korean to express a time related situation. Such differences in syntax between Korean and Japanese indicate that both languages stemmed from verbal Chinese characters. In other words, it is relatively easy to carry potentially verbal Chinese at the end, such as the type of 「~go」in Japanese, but it does not work in Korean.
It indicates that in Japanese 「chinese character noun＋tsu」and Korean 「chinese character noun＋jung」which correspond to 「chinese character noun＋tsu」, appear to have almost identical characteristics of usage– and this is unlikely between「~go」and 「~hu」- which could indicate that there is a difference between「~hu」which represents the characteristic of time relation and 「~jung」which represents the characteristic of aspect. In other words, it can be said that the type of「~jung」is relatively easy to use as a verb, because it has a stronger verbal expression than the type of 「~hu」.
