일본어 학습 환경에 관한 연구 -4년제 대학의 일본어 학습자를 대상으로- (Study on Japanese learning environment -For University Japanese learners -)

초록

전국의 4년제 대학 11개교에서 일본어 관련 수업을 듣고 있는 학습자를 대상으로
설문조사를 통해, 희망영상 교재, 선호하는 일본어 수업, 학습효과가 높은 수업, 교자재의 사용, 학교의 어학실습용 시설과 기자재에 대한 만족도 관한 의견 등을 조사했다.
설문조사 결과는 SPSS 프로그램을 이용하여 각 항목에 대한 빈도분석과 교차분석을실시했다.
설문조사 결과, 일본어 학습자 대부분은 일본인 학생들과의 토론 수업, 일본의 지역적인 특색을 배울 수 있는 강좌, JPT, JLPT 자격증을 위한 수업, 일본 영화와 애니메이션 등을 통한 회화 수업과 감상 토론 수업, 일본 정치, 경제에 관한 수업, J-POP과드라마 등으로 배우는 일어회화, 비즈니스 회화, 일본 무역 관련 수업, 시사 일본어,일본 전통 문화, NHK뉴스, 한일관계의 현안을 토론하는 수업, 일본어 한자 수업 등이 현재보다 더 많이 신설되기를 희망했다. 그리고 일본 TV 프로그램을 시청할 수 있는 기회의 확대, 일본어 강좌의 확대, 일본 문화 탐방의 기회, 문화를 직접 체험할 수 있는 교과목의 개설, 일본인과 함께하는 인터뷰 수업 등을 선호했다.
일본어 학습자들이 희망하는 영상교재의 1위는 애니메이션과 드라마였고, 일본어
학습자들이 같이 가장 선호하는 수업 방식과 가장 학습효과가 높은 수업으로 선택한 항목은 드라마와 영화대사 청취가 1위였다. 또한 일본어 학습자가 가장 선호하는 교자재 1위로 비디오를 선택했는데, 이는 학습자들이 시각적인 효과가 높은 동영상 교자재를 통한 수업을 희망하는 학습자가 많다는 것을 의미한다. 학교의 어학 시설이나 기자재에 대해서는 많이 부족하다는 의견이 50%로 가장 많았고, 충분하다는 의견은 고작 5%에 불과할 만큼 열악한 상황이다. 최근 멀티미디어 시설을 이용한 외국어 교수법의 개발이 활발히 이루어지고 있고, 학습효과를 높이기 위해서도 외국어학습에 필요한 시설투자에 좀 더 적극적이어야 한다.
그리고 일본어 학습동기가 일본대중문화에 대한 관심인 만큼 이를 통한 일본어 학
습효과를 극대화할 수 있는 방법을 찾아야 한다. 영상을 이용한 일본어 교재와 새로운 다양한 교수법 개발에 교강사들의 적극적인 참여, 그리고 교강사의 교수법 재교육을 통해 학습자들이 희망하는 일본어교육의 확대가 요구된다.

영어초록

The opinions have been surveyed through a questionnaire for learners
taking Japanese-related courses in the countrywide 11 universities with
4-year educational system regarding wished visual study materials,
preferred Japanese courses, highly effective courses in learning, use of
textbooks and study materials, level of satisfaction with facilities and
devices for language drills in each university. In order to get the results
of the survey, the frequency analysis and cross-check analysis for each
category have been performed by means of SPSS program.
As a result of the survey, most of the Japanese learners hoped to have
more new courses provided than now, such as discussion courses with
Japanese students, education courses for Japanese regional characteristics,
certificate courses for JPT and JPLT, conversation and discussion courses
through Japanese movies and animations, Japanese politics and economy
classes, colloquial Japanese speaking classes through J-POP and dramas,
as well as classes for business conversation, Japanese trade, current Japanese
issues, traditional Japanese culture, NHK news, debate on the Korea-Japan
current issues, Japanese kanji, etc. In addition, students preferred more
opportunities to watch Japanese TV programs, more Japanese courses to
be provided, more visiting chances to discover the Japanese culture,
newly-provided curriculums for students to have direct experiences of the
Japanese culture, interview classes carried out with Japanese people, etc.
The most wished visual study materials among Japanese learners were
animations and dramas, and the most preferred method of class and the
most highly effective class of learning selected by them was listening to dramas and movies, which ranked 1st. Besides, video was selected
as the most preferred textbooks and study materials by the Japanese learners,
which means there are many learners who want to take class with learning
materials of moving images that provide highly visual effects for learners.
Regarding each university's language facilities or devices, the conditions
are so bad that 50% of the students, occupying the largest part of the
responses, viewed there leaves much more to be desired in those facilities
while only 5% of the students thought there are enough facilities provided.
Lately, it has been actively carried out to develop foreign language
teaching methods by taking advantage of multimedia facilities. Also,
there need more active investments in facilities necessary for learning
foreign languages in a bid to improve the effects of learning, as well.
Besides, considering that the very motive of Japanese learning is the
interest in the Japanese pop culture, through which we have to find some
methods to maximize the effects of Japanese learning. It is required to
expand Japanese education hoped by Japanese learners through active
participation of teachers and instructors in the development for Japanese
textbook materials and diverse new teaching methods by means of visual
images, as well as through re-education of teaching methods for teachers
and instructors.
