리메이크 드라마에 나타난 한국어와 일본어의 요청 화행 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on Request Speech Acts between Korean Language and Japanese Language Shown in Remake Dramas)

초록

본 연구에서는 요청 상황에서 한국어 모어 화자와 일본어 모어 화자가 사용하는 주화행과 보조화행의 전략을 비교하기 위해 리메이크 드라마 6편에 나타난 담화 중에서 요청 내용과 화자와 청자의 관계가 거의 일치하는 장면을 대상으로 분석했다. 그 결과 다음 세 가지 차이점이 나타났다.
첫째, 주화행의 전략에서【수행동사의 사용】은 한국판에서 두 상황에서만 사용된 것에 반해 일본판에서 전체 사용의 10% 이상을 차지하였으며, 사회적 지위 및 친소관계와 상관없이 골고루 사용되었다.
둘째, 주화행의 전략에서【가능성에 대한 질문】은 한국판에서 한 번도 사용되지 않은 것에 반해 일본판에서는 전체 사용의 10% 이상을 차지했다. 특히【상/친】에서　차지하는　비율이　31.6%로　가장　높게　나타났다. 한편, 한국판【상/친】에서는【소망의 표시】가 22.7%를 차지한데 반해 일본판에서는 한 번도 사용되지 않았다.
셋째, 보조화행의 전략에서는【화자 위협 알리기】가 차지하는 비율이 한국판에서 더 높았고, 특히【동/친】의 관계에서는 일본판에서 한 번도 사용되지 않은데 반해 한국판에서는 28.9%를 차지했다. 한국판에서는 화자가 청자를 비난하는 경우가 많았는데, 실제로는 화자가 청자에 대한 서운함을 표현한 것이며 주화행을 실행하지 않고 화자의 요청 의도를 전달하려고 하는 것이었다.
그동안 요청 화행에 관한 연구에서는 요청할 때의 간접성의 정도에 대해 연구되어 왔다. 간접성을 바꿔 말하면 청자에 대한 배려이며, 특히 긍정적인 배려에 초점이 맞춰져 왔다. 그러나 앞으로는 본 연구에서 제시한 【화자 위협 알리기】처럼 부정적인 배려도 포함한 포괄적인 연구가 필요할 것이다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to compare a strategy for head act and adjunct to head act that are used by Korean native speaker and Japanese native speaker in a request situation. It analyzed targeting scenes that the request contents and the speaker-hearer relationship are almost consistent among talks that were shown in 6 pieces of remake dramas. As a result, the following three differences were indicated.
First,【use of performative verbs】in a strategy for head act was used only in two situations of Korean version, but possessed more than 10% of the whole use in Japanese version, and was used evenly regardless of social standing and familiarity.
Second,【question about possibility】in a strategy for head act has never been used in Korean version, but possessed more than 10% of the whole use in Japanese version. Especially, the ratio of possessing in 【superior/familiar(when a hearer's social standing is higher than speaker and when being close each other)】accounted for 31.6%, thereby having been indicated most highly. In the meantime,【indication of wish】in 【superior/familiar】of Korean version possessed 22.7%, but wasn't used at all in Japanese version.
Third, the ratio that【speaker's informing of threat】possesses in a strategy for adjunct to head act was higher in Korean version. Especially, the relationship of【same/familiar(when speaker and hearer have the same social standing and are familiar)】wasn't used at all in Japanese version,but possessed 28.9% in Korean version. There were many cases that a speaker criticized a hearer in Korean version. Still, it is what a speaker expressed a sad feeling about hearer and was what aimed to deliver speaker's request intention without carrying out head act.
In the meantime, a research on request speech acts has been inquired into indirectness level when requesting. In other words of indirectness, it is consideration on hearer and is focused especially on positive consideration.
However, even a comprehensive research of including even negative consideration will be needed in the future like【speaker's informing of threat】that was suggested in this study.
