한중 전통문양의 국가 이미지 상징성 비교 연구 - 태극문양과 용문양을 중심으로 - (A Comparative Study on the National Image Symbolism of Traditional Patterns between Korea and China - Focusing on the Taegeuk and Dragon patterns -)

초록

전통문양은 수백 년, 수천 년의 변화를 거쳐 하나의 지역에서부터 나아가 국가 이미지와 연관된 생활이나 정부 이미지에도 활용되고 있다. 점점 불안해지는 현대사회에서 국가를 대표하는 전통문양에 대한 연구와 보호를 위한 연구 작업은 국가의 정체성을 높이고 민족 결속력을 높이는 데 중요한 역할을할 것이다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 근대부터 기존의 전통문양을 국가상징으로 강화해온 두 나라의대표 전통문양을 비교함으로써 전통문양이 어떤 방식으로 국가적 상징을 가지게 되었는지, 또한 그것이 어떤 인식의 차이를 가져왔는지를 분석하여, 향후 양국이 국가 이미지 구축에 전통문양을 적극적, 긍정적으로 반영할 수 있는 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 문헌연구와 조사연구의 연구방법을 사용했다. 이론적 배경으로 태극문양과 용문양의 상징성에 대해서 폭 넓은 조사를 실행하고 중국의 용문양과 한국의 태극문양이 어떻게 각 국가를 상징하는 이미지로 구축될 수 있었는지에 대한 배경을 살펴봤으며그 과정에서 양국 대표 전통문양의 공통점과 차이점을 도출하였다. 그 결과 한중의 공통점과 차이점, 그리고 국가대표 전통문양의 중요성을 바탕으로 향후 양국이 국가 이미지 구축에 전통문양을 적극적으로 반영할 수 있는 방안을 다음과 같이 제안하였다. 첫째, 중국은 국가대표 전통문양을 이용한 국가이미지를 구축해야 한다. 둘째, 대표 전통문양 아카이브 구축을 통해 고대부터 현대에 이르기까지 국가를 대표하는 전통문양의 형태 변화, 상징적 변화, 그리고 각 시대에 걸친 전통문양의 국가와 민족에대한 의미를 명확히 정리해야 한다. 셋째, 한중 양국은 광고, 영화 등에서 국가대표 전통문양이 지닌이야기를 스토리텔링으로 풀어내야 한다.

영어초록

Traditional patterns have gone through hundreds and thousands of years of change and are being used from a single region in life or government images related to the national image. In today’s increasingly unstable society, research on and protecting the traditional patterns representing the nation will play an important role in enhancing national identity and enhancing national solidarity.
Therefore, the purpose of this study is to compare the representative traditional patterns of two countries that have strengthened existing traditional patterns as national symbols since modern times, and analyze how traditional patterns have national symbols and what differences in perceptions they bring. Therefore, it is to suggest a plan that can positively reflect traditional patterns in both countries in building their national image in the future. The research methods of literature study and research study were used. As a theoretical background, we conducted extensive research on the symbolism of the Taegeuk pattern and the dragon pattern, and examined the background of how the Chinese dragon pattern and the Korean Taegeuk pattern could be built into images that symbolize each country, and in the process the commonalities and differences between the representative traditional patterns of the two countries were drawn. As a result, based on the commonalities and differences between Korea and China, and the importance of national traditional patterns, the following proposals were made for the two countries to actively reflect traditional patterns in building their national image in the future. First, China must build a national image using the national traditional patterns. Second, through the establishment of a representative traditional pattern archive, it is necessary to clearly summarize the changes in the form of traditional patterns representing the country from ancient to modern times, symbolic changes, and the meaning of the country and the people of each era. Third, both Korea and China should unravel the story of the national traditional patterns in advertisements and movies through storytelling.
