약산성 세안제 사용에 따른 학령기 아동의 피부 유․수분도 및 pH 변화 (A Change of Skin Oil and Moisture and Skin pH according to the Use of Weak Acidity Facial Cleanser of School-age Children)

초록

The target of this study is school-age children who have problematic skin. In order to find a change of skin according to the habit of washing of school-age children, the children, who understand the goal and purpose of the study, were selected through paper weight and inspection. 21 children whose parents agreed with the study participated in the study, the method of the study utilized a weak acidity facial cleanser. Through measurement for four weeks, it was considered that before/after use, facial skin oil and moisture balance, skin pH, a change of skin, and the subjective change of skin condition would appear. The study aims at recognizing a right skin condition for children according to the method of facial washing, regarding children as new customers, and suggesting basic data to maintain the healthy skin of children.
The results of the subjective condition of skin change, skin oil and moisture balance, and skin pH difference according to the use of a facial cleanser of school-age children are as follow. In the overall subjective condition of skin change, average scores were 3.42±0.60 points before use and 2.28±0.38 after four-week use. It showed that skin problems became mitigated (p<.001).
A change of oil balance according to the use of a weak acidity facial cleanser, it showed that oil on the forehead, the cheeks, the jaws, the sides of the nose significantly decreased (p<.001, p<.01). A change of moisture balance according to the use of a weak acidity facial cleanser, it showed that moisture on the forehead and the jaws had a tendency to increase, and moisture on the cheeks and beneath the eyes significantly increased (p<.05). A change of pH according to the use of a weak acidity facial cleanser, it increased after 2 weeks and decreased after 4 weeks on the cheeks; it increased after 2 weeks and decreased after 4 weeks on the jaws; it increased after 2 weeks and decreased significantly after 4 weeks on the sides of the nose (p<.01, p<.05).
