인삼 추출액 처리가 염색견뢰도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Ginseng Root-Extract Treatment on the Colorfastness of Naturally-Dyed Fabrics)

초록

본 연구에서는 천연염색물의 염색견뢰도를 향상시키기 위한 목적으로 소나무껍질, 쑥, 양파, 울금의 4종의 천연염재로 염색한 견과 모직물을 다양한 생리활성과 기능성을 갖고 있는 인삼뿌리 추출액을 처리하여 염색견뢰도에 미치는 인삼추출액의 효과를 알아보았다.
양파, 울금은 시중에서 구입한 것을 사용하였으며 색소를 추출하여 염액으로 사용하였다. 소나무 수피와 쑥은 분말화 된 염료를 구입하여 사용하였다. 제조한 염액에 견포와 모포를 각각 넣고 90℃에서 30분간 2회 반복 염색하였다. 인삼뿌리액은 80～90℃에서 120분간 끓여 인삼추출액을 추출하였으며, 욕비 1:30으로 하여 80℃에서 30분간 처리하였다. 각 염재로 염색한 천연염색물의 인삼뿌리 추출액 처리전과 후의 색상과 색차를 측정하여 인삼뿌리 추출액이 천연염색물의 색상에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 또한 염색 후 인삼뿌리 추출액 처리전과 후의 세탁견뢰도, 일광견뢰도, 땀견뢰도, 마찰견뢰도를 측정하여 인삼뿌리 추출액이 이들 염색견뢰도에 미치는 효과를 검토하였다.
천연염색 후 인삼추출액 처리 결과 울금 염색견포의 yellowish가 감소한 것을 제외하고는 색상변화가 거의 없었다. 염색견뢰도에 미치는 인삼추출액 처리 효과는 천연염재의 종류에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 양파껍질로 염색한 견, 모 포의 세탁견뢰도, 일광견뢰도, 땀견뢰도, 마찰견뢰도 모두에서 인삼추출액 처리 효과가 나타나 견뢰도 등급이 향상됨을 확인하였다. 염색견뢰도에 미치는 인삼추출액 처리 효과는 양파 염색포와 같이 효과가 우수한 경우와 쑥, 울금 염색포에서와 같이 효과가 전혀 없거나 효과가 적은 두 가지 타입으로 나뉘어짐을 알 수 있었다. 세탁, 일광, 땀, 마찰의 4가지 견뢰도 중 땀견뢰도에서 인삼추출액처리 효과가 가장 크게 나타났다. 산성과 알칼리성 땀액 모두에서, 그리고 견, 모 섬유 모두에서 땀견뢰도가 향상되었다. 그러나 일광견뢰도는 양파의 경우를 제외하고는 효과가 없었다. 마찰견뢰도는 양파, 울금의 염색포에서 인삼처리 효과가 나타났는데 모두 모 섬유에서만 마찰견뢰도가 향상되었다.

영어초록

The Purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of ginseng root-extract treatment on the colorfastness of naturally-dyed fabrics by having silk and wool dyed with such four natural dyeing materials as pine bark, artemisia, onion shell and curcumin and then treatment with ginseng root-extract which has various physiological activities and functions. Ginseng root-extract was extracted by boiling 600g of ginseng in 6ℓof water at 90℃ for 120 minutes, and it was treated at 80℃ for 30 minutes with the bath ratio set to 1:30 for naturally-dyed wool and silk fabrics.
By measuring the color and color difference before and after having the naturally-dyed fabrics treated with ginseng root-extract, the effect of ginseng root-extract on the color tone of naturally-dyed fabricss were investigated. In addition, by measuring the washing fastness, light fastness, perspiration fastness and rubbing fastness before and after having the naturally-dyed fabrics treated with ginseng root extract, the effect of ginseng root extract on the color fastness of the naturally-dyed fabricss were examined.
The results of the study can be summarized as follows: As a result of treatment with ginseng root-extract after having naturally dyed fabrics, the color almost didn't change except the fact that the yellowish color of the silk fabrics dyed with curcumin was reduced. The effect of treatment with ginseng root-extract on the color fastness was found to vary according to the kind of natural dying ingredient. Since the silk and wool fabrics in dyed with onion shell showed the effect of treatment with ginseng root-extract in terms of the washing fastness, light fastness, perspiration fastness and rubbing fastness, it was found that all the level of fastness were improved. It was also found that the effect of ginseng root-extract on the colorfastness were divided into two types: One type was the effect was superior in the fabrics dyed with the onion shell, and the other type was the effect was hardly found or not shown at both in the fabrics dyed with artemisia, and curcumin. Out of the four kinds of fastness related to washing, light, perspiration and rubbing, the perspiration fastness was found to show the effect of treatment with ginseng root- extract most. It was also found that the perspiration fastness was improved in both acidic and alkaline perspiration and in both the silk and wool fabrics as well. However, the light fastness was not improved at all except the case of dyed with onion shell.
