초록

이 글은, 이안의 동시 작품과 창작론을 예시로 하여, 맥락에 따른 표현 양상을 설명하는 데 목적을 두었다. 맥락 파악의 단서로 ‘직시(deixis)/상황연동소(context-shifter)’ 등의 문법적 기능을 하는 시어들에 주목하였다. 텍스트 내적 맥락은 ① 텍스트 내용(story)과 ② 담화 구조(discourse)로, ③ 텍스트 외적 맥락은 상황 맥락과사회․문화적 맥락으로 구분하였다. 이안 동시의 맥락에 따른 표현 양상을 살펴본 결과는 다음과 같다.
먼저, ‘담화 구조’는 약속된 유희성의 규칙을 반영한다. 개별 텍스트 「른자동물원」은 표제로 제시된 기표의 변형이다. 다음으로, 텍스트가 제공하는 불완전한 기의의 상태는 퍼즐 맞추기와 같은 놀이의 규칙에 따라 의미의 틈을 채우도록 요구한다. 어린이의 어휘 확장은 기표와 기의 간의 틈을 발견하고 채워서 연접시키는 과정을 통해 진행된다. 두 번째로, ‘텍스트 내용(story)’은 어린이의 관점에서 구성된 세계의 질서를 반영한다. 「모두들 처음엔」에서, 발견을 통한 적응의 과정은 세계의 일원으로서 성장을 이루면서 자기 정체성을 형성하는 기제가 된다.
「혜성이」에서 보이는 탐구의 형태는, 성장의 과정에서 추구하는 세계 이해의 적극적인 일면이다. 끝으로, ‘텍스트 외적 맥락’은 소통의 형식에 따라, 상황 맥락과 사회․문화적 맥락으로 구분할 수 있다. 상황 맥락은, 시적 화자의 위치나 사회적 판단 등이 직시/연동소 등을 통하여 내부에서 의미를 지시하게 되는 경우이다. 「유월-일요일」에서, 어린이 화자가 지칭하는 공간적 배경은 ‘집 밖’이고, 아빠가 지칭하는 공간적 배경은 ‘집 안’의 실내이다. 사회․문화적 맥락은 사회 집단이 수용하고 있는 보편화된 가치 지향을 통해 찾아볼 수 있는 것으로, 사회적 삶의 배경 역할을 한다. 「시 쓰기 시간」에서는 기존의 시 쓰기 수업을 해체하고, 유희로서의 시 창작의 방법인‘기표 만들기/놀이’를 추구한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this article is to explain the aspects of expression according to context, taking Lee-An's works and his creation theories as examples. Words with grammatical functions, such as “deixis/context-shifter,” were studied as a cue to understand contextuality. The context within the text was divided into ①text content (story) and ② discourse, and the context outside the text was divided into ③ situational context and socio-cultural context.
Following are the findings from an analysis of expression patterns in relation to the context of Lee-An's children's poetry. First, the ‘discourse structure’ reflects the promised rules of playfulness. The single text 「Leg[Gel]ja Zoo(른[글]자동물원)」is a variation of the signifier presented as the title. Next, the incomplete state of signification provided by the text requires filling in the gaps in meaning according to the rules of play, such as jigsaw puzzles. The process of identifying, bridging, and linking the space between the signified and the signified is how children's vocabularies expand. Second, the 'textual story' reflects the order of the world constructed from the child's point of view. In 「Everyone At First(모두들 처음엔)」, the process of adaptation through discovery becomes a mechanism for forming one's identity while achieving growth as a member of the world. The form of inquiry shown in 「Hye-seong(혜성이)」is an active approach to comprehending the world that is pursued during the process of development.
Finally, ‘context of para-text’ can be divided into situational context and socio-cultural context according to the form of communication. Situational context is a case in which the poetic speaker's position or social judgment dictates the meaning from the inside through 'deixis/context-shifter'. The social and cultural context can be found through the universal value orientation accepted by social groups and serves as the background of social life. In 「June-Sunday(유월-일요일)」, the spatial background referred to by the child narrator is 'outside the house', and that referred to by the father is 'inside the house'. In 「Poetry Writing Time(시 쓰기 시간)」, we dismantle the existing poetry writing class and pursue ‘significant making/playing’, a method of poetry creation as play.
