가무악(歌舞樂) 통합 학습 모형의 개발 및 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development and Application of the Integrated Learning Model of GaMuAk(歌舞樂))

초록

Originally, Korean music have been the integrated of Ga(singing), Mu(dancing) and Ak(performing music). With the introduction of Western educational ideas and divisional curricula, this musical concept has been divided, and declined. However, the Revised Curriculum of 2007 stresses that ‘Ga․Mu․Ak’ should be integrated in all areas." In this vein, this study tries to develop the class model for the integrated class of GaMuAk and presents the lesson plans that can be applied to practice in school music classes.
GaMuAk(歌舞樂) refers to singing, dancing and playing musical instruments. AkGaMu(樂歌舞) is used with the same meaning, but GaMuAk is more appropriate since singing is the essence of the three activities. The integrated class of GaMuAk has great educational significance in that it can promote to understand the characteristics of Korean music and enable to realize the total cultural education. This approaches also have the educational values to proper to the developmental characteristics of the elementary and secondary school students and to promote the educational effects of these integrated classes.
The integrated learning models of instructing GaMuAk can be divided into the applied models of instructing GaMuAk and the models of instructing GaMuAk. The former model is divided to a ‘primary learning model’ in which the simple forms of Ga, Mu and Ak are integrated and learned again, and a ‘developed learning model’ in which the advanced forms of Ga, Mu and Ak are learned. The latter model can be divided into an ‘basic learning model’ in which original forms are simplified and learned, and an ‘advanced learning model’ in which original forms are learned as they are. This integrated learning models of instructing GaMuAk process to understand the music of GaMuAk, practice of GaMuAk, and express the integrated GaMuAk. These steps are the requirements for learning GaMuAk and as the following steps, the transforming expression and creative expression of GaMuAk can be applied for the more advanced GaMuAk.
This study concludes that Korean folk songs and children songs can be applied for this integrated instruction of GaMuAk as well as Korean court dances, ancestral rites music, and shaman musics are very suitable for this model. Furthermore, it also contributes to develop the approaches of Korean music by presenting the models of instructing and learning according to the characteristics of Korean music and experiencing GaMuAk with the various approaches.
