초록

Culture represents ethnic characteristics of each country. Thus, if we look at theculture, we can learn about the country. In particular, among various cultures, sportsculture shows big differences depending on the ethnic characteristics. It can be said thatKorea has its own unique sports culture more than any other country. In Korea, sportstakes up large portion not only in cultural sector but in others such as economic sector.
However, Korean sports have developed not naturally as in the U.S. or Europe, but toserve the political purposes.
In order to investigate the unique Korean sports culture mentioned above, I examinedit by means of the universal access right. Because each country has different methods ofrecognizing and accepting the universal access right, I examined how the universalaccess right was accepted in Korea and how it has been related to the sports culture.
As a result of contemplating on the Korean sports culture through universal access right, it was turned out that Korea has very unique sports culture. It neither deny theaccess right as in the U.S. nor take it for granted as in Europe. This is attributed to thephenomenon that Korean people have awareness that sports seek the public objectivesand have huge interest and passion in popular sports such as World Cup, Olympics, andbaseball, but rarely show attention in unpopular sports.
