초록

The aim of this study was to find the relative muscle activity on gluteus maximus after bridge exercise which uses a pelvic belt and a visual feedback exercise with laser point. Twenty healthy insurant men volunteered for this research. Muscle activities were recorded with electromyogram (EMG) on erector spinae, gluteus maximus, and biceps femoris. The results were recorded using EMG equipment in accordance with three experimental condition : bridge exercise with laser point (BELP), bridge exercise with pelvic belt (BEPB), and bridge exercise (BE). The maximal voluntary isometric contraction (MVIC) was determined for each muscle group in order to represent each exercise as a percentage of MVIC and allow for standardized comparison between subjects. A one-way analysis of variance was used to determine significant differences in the EMG activities of each muscle between the 3 experimental groups. The statistical significance level was set at α=.05. During bridge exercise, BELP for the standardized EMG activity on the gluteus maximus was markedly higher (p<.05) than BEPB and BE.
BELP was significantly lower than BE (p<.05) on muscle activity of biceps femoris. BEPB was also significantly lower than BE (p<.05) on muscle activity of erector spinae. These result suggest that exersice using BELP or BEPB can transform gluteus maximus advantageously rather than using BE.
