전남 나주출토 제주양씨(1589~1687) 출토복식의 형태적 특징과 바느질법 (Characteristics and sewing method of Jeju Yang’s(1589~1687) costumes which excavated from Chonnam Naju)

초록

본 유물은 전남 나주에서 출토된 나주임씨(羅州林氏) 임연(林埏,1587~1654)의 재실인 제주양씨(濟州梁氏, 1589~1687) 분묘로, 2012년 5월 21일 나주임씨 유물 수거 후 22일에 출토유물들이 수거되었다. 제주양씨 묘에서는 45건 55점이 출토되었다.
연구대상인 출토유물로는 한삼, 저고리, 치마, 바지, 소창의, 중치막, 장옷 등의 복식류와 명정, 소모자, 족두리, 베개, 자리, 멱목, 대, 악수 등이 있다. 소모자와 족두리도 시신에게 씌워져 있었다. 입혀져 있었던 옷과 보공품이었던 옷이 섞여있었으나 어떤 옷이 보공품이고 어떤 옷이 입혀졌었는지는 출토 당시 수거에 급급해 구분이 되지 않아 정확이 알 수 없다.
17세기 여자 분묘의 출토복식 종류를 보면 한삼, 적삼을 포함한 저고리류와 장옷, 치마와 바지류가 주를 이루고 간혹 보공품으로 중치막이나 창의 등이 있다. 본 출토 묘에서도 17세기 여자 분묘에서 출토된 다른 출토복과 마찬가지로 장옷이 여러 점 출토되었고, 다른 분묘에서는 드믈게 출토되는 소창의와 중치막이 5점이 있다.
저고리류는 홑, 겹, 솜옷이 모두 출토되었으나 솜옷이 가장 많았고, 특징으로 한삼의 깃은 칼깃, 저고리 깃은 당코깃이고 대부분 사선길에 사선배래이며 소매 끝은 끝동형으로 되어 있다. 무는 대부분 없으며 트임은 저고리 길이가 긴 두 점만 있고 나머지 저고리는 옆이 막혔다.
출토 포류는 소창의와 중치막 및 장옷으로 소창의는 솜누비로 구성된 2점이, 중치막은 홑, 솜, 솜누비로 구성된 3점이 출토되었다. 출토된 소창의와 중치막의 겉깃은 모두 칼깃이며, 안깃은 모두 내어달린 목판깃 형태이다.
출토 복식의 바느질법은 홑옷, 겹옷, 솜옷 구분없이 거의 홈질이 사용되었고, 홑옷은 겹옷이나 솜옷에 비해 전체적인 바느질은 고운편이며, 홑옷이므로 단을 대어 처리를 하였고, 시접방향이나 솔기처리 등은 거의 비슷하다.

영어초록

Most of excavated costumes from 17th century are Chegori(jacket), Jangot(coat), Chima(skirt), and Pajee(pants). There are Joongchimak and Changeui for purpose of filling the coffin. These excavated costumes also contain several Jangot as other excavated costumes from 17th century. However, the unusual thing is there are five Joongchimak which rarely excavated from other grave.
Among the unlined, layered, and padded Chegori, the number of padded Chegori were the most numerous. Dangkokit was used for collar of Chegori. Diagonal inseam of sleeve and cuff were used for the sleeve. Only long Chegoris have side vents while others do not have it. Most of them have no gussets. They all follow the Chegori style of the middle of 17th century. Compared to other excavated costumes, Chegori’s color, pattern, and material do not contain wide variety.
There are Joongchimak and Jangot for Po. Five Joongchimaks which are unlined, padded, and cotton-stuffed quilting are excavated. For Joongchimak, kalkit was used for outer collar and Mokpankit was used for inner collar. For the sleeve, straight sleeves and diagonal sleeves were used and straight bodice was used for all the bodice. Side vent which is a chracteristic of Joongchimak is shown and the sleeve does not have cuffs. Also, partially destroyed Joongchimak and Joongchimak with cutted sleeves are excavated. It might happen since the size of cotton clothes is large or might be a custom of funeral. For the gussets, triangle gusset and trapezoid gusset with side gusset were used. The length of Joongchimak varied from 110 cm to 131 cm. Diagonal sleeve has a big difference between armhole and edges of sleeve while straight sleeve does not. Layered, padded, and cotton-stuffed quilting Jangot were excavated. Mokpankit was used for collars. Sleeve has both Tae-soo(태수형) and cuff(끝동형) and trapezoid gussets and side gussets were both attached to it. Outer Sub and inner sub are all double sub Broad stitching was used for sewing method. Needlework of unlined costumes is more elaborate than layered and padded costumes while direction of a margin to seam and processing a seam are similar. For the unlined costumes, felled seam and flat felled seam were used for Berea and side line.
Some Deungsol of unlined and layered costumes sewed as seamless and shoulder was made of one fabric so it does not have a seam.
For the padded costumes, Deungsol are all connected and direction margin to seam is right. decorative saddle stitching was used for collar’s head to fix cottons.
