대학 신입생의 쓰기과제물 제목구성지도교수법 제안 - 리포트, 포트폴리오를 중심으로 (The Suggestion of Teaching Methods of College Freshmen’s Entitling Writing Assignments - Focused on Reports and Portfolios)

초록

본고는 대학 신입생들의 쓰기과제물(리포트와 포트폴리오)의 작성법 중 제목구성에 대한 교수법을 제안하고자 하는 목적으로 작성되었다. 실제 학습자가 자신의 사고와 의견 또는 학습결과를 드러내는 언어구성물에 적절한 제목을 붙이고 창의적인 구성을 고안하는 훈련은 쓰기과제물의 결과와 평가에 많은 영향을 줄 뿐 아니라, 연구한 대상에 대하여 요약하는 기술방법을 습득할 수 있도록 도와준다. 이는 더불어 조직적 구성력과 표현력을 향상시켜주고, 동시에 창의적인 발상을 하는 훈련이 될 수 있다. 그리고 이러한 연습이 좋은 학습습관으로 자리 잡는다면, 전공에 대한 학습이 심화된 고학년으로 올라가서도 교과목의 전문성과 더불어, 독자를 고려한 감성설득의 융합을 시도하는 전제로 작용할 수 있다. 마지막, 결정적으로 스스로 “이름 붙이기”한 쓰기과제물은 학습자로 하여금 애정과 책임감을 갖도록 하며 이는 자연스럽게 작성목적을 이해하고 수용하는 결과로 이어질 수 있다.
쓰기과제물의 제목과 구성에 관한 이름붙이기와 스토리텔링에 대한 안내는 대학 신입생 학습자들로 하여금 쓰기과제물에 대한 부담을 줄이고, 자신의 표현능력을 신장하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다. 교수자는 이를 위하여 과제물의 목적과 평가기준은 물론, 기본전제로서 구성에 대한 자세한 의미를 안내해야 한다. 이를 통해 대학에서의 쓰기과제물이 일방적인 평가를 위한 절차가 아니라, 그 본래의 목적을 다할 수 있을 것이다. 그리고 나아가 현대 대학교육이 지향하고 있는 교수자와 학습자 사이의 원활한 의사소통의 가능성을 쓰기과제물이 담당할 수 있게 될 것이다.

영어초록

This article aims to suggest teaching methods of the significance of entitling writing assignments of college freshmen. The subjects of discussion are limited to the report, which is a form of writing assignment that college freshmen face the earliest and the most frequently from their freshman year, and the portfolio, which is the form that becomes substantially effective only if the foundation is set up from their freshman year.
It does not only influence on the result and assessment of writing assignments that learners get trained to design the title and composition of their own writing assignments for themselves. It also helps them to acquire the description methods of summarizing the objective once acquired that learners give appropriate titles and design creative organization to the compositions that reveal their own thoughts and opinions or study result. This can be the training to enhance the ability of systematic organization and expression, and at the same time to have an imaginative idea. Besides, if this practice develops good work habits, it could work as the requirement in trying merging emotion and persuasion considering the expertise of their degree subjects and readers when they enter their senior year. Finally, the writing assignment titled by a learner himself definitely lets the learner have affection and responsibility and it can lead to the result that he understands the goal of his composition and accept it.
The guidance of entitling writing assignments and storytelling helps a college freshman reduce the pressure of writing assignments and enhance his expressivity. Therefore, it is necessary for a lecturer to guide the detailed meaning of composition as a requirement as well as the goal and valuation criteria of the assignments. Through this college writing assignment is not merely the unilateral evaluation element but it achieves its original purpose, furthermore, it will be possible to take charge of communication between the lecturer and learners.
