김춘수의 시 쓰기 방법 연구 -‘반복’ 기법을 중심으로 (Research on methods of how to writing Kim chun soo's poem- with technique of ‘repetition’ as the central figure)

초록

본고에서는 김춘수의 시 세계 전반에 나타나는 ‘반복’ 기법을 연구함으로써 이에 따른 기능과 유형, 그리고 의미를 고찰해 보고자 한다. 그는 시를 재구성하고 해체하기도 하며 재창조하면서 창작했다. 그 가운데에서 ‘반복’기법은 시 전반에 걸쳐 빼놓을 수 없는 중요한 시작법의 하나이다. ‘반복’은 어휘 단어 구문의 반복에서 원 텍스트에서 다른 텍스트로의 재구성, 그리고 원 텍스트를 해체시켜서 또 다른 텍스트의 재창조까지 다양하게 나타난다고 볼 수 있다.
본고에서는 1. 구성 원리에 따른 반복과 2. 텍스트와 텍스트 사이에서 나타나는 다양한 반복과 변용양상을 연구 고찰해 보았다.
김춘수는 어휘의 단순 반복을 통해 의미를 강조하고 리듬을 형성함으로써 주술적 형태의 반복 형식을 갖추어 나갔다. 시인은 단순한 어휘나 구문의 반복만으로 의지를 강하게 표명하며 공격적인 자세를 취한다. 이는 반복법을 사용함으로 얻는 큰 효과일 것이다. 또한 김춘수에게 이미지의 병치라는 변용된 반복으로 인한 이미지의 파괴는 단순한 이미지의 나열과 파괴가 아닌 의도적으로 하나의 이미지로 또 다른 이미지의 소멸을 가져오는 것이다. 이러한 창작 기법을 통해 김춘수는 의도적으로 의미를 파괴하고 리듬만을 남겨 사물화를 유도한다. 다음으로 김춘수는 기존의 원 텍스트를 바탕으로 조사, 어휘 등의 변용된 반복으로 또 다른 텍스트로 재창조한다. 어휘나 조사의 변용만으로도 시 텍스트에서는 다양한 의미의 창출이 가능하며 이러한 반복을 통해 의미의 변화도 가능하다. 그의 이러한 창작 방법은 표절로 국한할 수 없는 새로운 장르의 시도란 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다. 장르를 넘어선 반복 형태로 텍스트와 텍스트 사이의 대화 혹은 차이를 짐작케 하는 것이며, 원 텍스트의 틀 안에 시인의 의지와 생각을 토대로 새로운 의미망을 구축해 나가는 것이다. 그리고 회화를 원 텍스트로 하면서 이를 시적언어로 표현하고 있는 김춘수는 여러 작품을 통해 회화의 제목, 소재뿐 아니라 그 이외의 것들과 사상까지도 드러냄으로써 복합적인 의미를 부여하면서 이를 새로운 작품으로 재해석하고 있다. 여섯 번째, 김춘수의 반복은 혼합, 변용된 또 다른 반복 양상으로 나타난다. 이 시기는 자기 반영적 성격이 강한 시기로 볼 수 있으며, 반복 기법을 혼용하고 변용함으로써 의미를 해체하는 동시에 시인의 의지와 사고를 강하게 드러낸 것으로 분석하였다.
김춘수의 시는 후기로 가면서 기존에 본인만의 기법으로 쓰인 무의미시에서 이탈하여 그 전에 쓰였던 다양한 반복 기법은 변용하고 혼용함으로써 또 다른 장르를 창조하고 있음을 알 수 있다.
김춘수는 이러한 반복 기법을 통해 의미를 강조하기도 하고 해체하기도 하면서 결국 본인이 발견하고자 하는 의미를 파악하고 강조하였다. 이것은 결국 자기반영적 성향이 강한 김춘수의 특징으로도 설명할 수 있다. 이러한 시 세계 전반에 걸친 반복 기법 연구는 다양한 실험적인 시 창작 법을 모색하였던 시인에게 어떠한 의미가 있는지, 그리고 시에 어떻게 활용되고 변용되었는지를 연구하는데 중요함으로 이는 좀 더 심도 있는 연구가 필요할 것이다.

영어초록

This paper is trying to examine function, type and meaning as studying technique of 'repetition', which appears throughout Kim chun soo's poem. We could know that he created poem as reconstituting and dissolving and recreating. From those, technique of 'repetition' is one of the Kim chun soo's poetics, which is very important. 'Repetition' appears from repetition of vocabulary syntax to reconstitution of original text into another text and recreation of another text by dissolving original text.
This paper considered 1. repetition through same syntax, 2. repetition, appears between text and text and transformation and mixed aspect of original text.
Kim chun soo formalized repetition type of shamanistic form as emphasizing meaning through simple repetition of vocabulary and developing rhythm. Poet took aggressive attitude as expressing will strongly just with repetition of simple vocabulary or construction. Maybe, it is a huge effect, obtained by using method of repetition. Demolition of image, caused by transformed repetition, juxtaposition of image, is not just a list and demolition of image but it is the thing, that causes extinction of another image intentionally by one image for Kim chun soo. Through these creation technique, Kim chun soo destroied meaning intentionally and induced preemption as leaving just rhythm. In the second place, Kim chun soo recreated the other text with transformed repetition like postposition or vocabulary, based on original text. With just transformation of vocabulary or postposition, creating various meaning in poetic text is possible and change in meaning is also possible through these repetitions. His schaffensmethode has significant in the point that it is a trial of new genre, which can not be limited by plagiarism. It makes us guess conversation or difference between text and text by formation of repetition, beyond genre, and builds new meaning based on will and thought of poet in frame of original text. And Kim chun soo, who considered picture as original text and expressed it with poetic language, reinterpreted it as a new work as showing from title, subject matter and other things thought of painting through various works and giving complex meaning. Sixth, repetition of Kim chun soo appeared as the other repeating patter, which is mixed and transformed. During this period, he had a strong self-reflectivity and it is analyzed that he showed will and thought of his as mixing and transforming technique of repetition and dissolving meaning at the same time.
We could know that poem of Kim chun soo creates the other genre as leaving meaningless poem, written with his technique, and mixing and transforming various techniques of repetition, used before.
Kim chun soo grasped and emphasized the meaning, which he has tried to find out, as emphasizing and dissolving meaning through these techniques of repetition. This can be explained with characteristic of Kim chun soo, who had strong self-reflectivity. In-depth study will be needed because research on technique of repetition, used throughout poem, is important in studying whether there is any meaning to poet, who found method of creating poem and how it utilized and transformed in the poem.
