쑥 추출물의 직물에 대한 염색성 및 이를 이용한 천연염색 체험 교구 개발 (Dyeing of the Fabric of Mugwort Extract and Development of Natural Dyeing Experience-teaching Tools Using Mugwort)

초록

This study was conducted to investigate the dyeing of the fabric of mugwort extract and develope the teaching tools in relation to the natural dyeing using mugwort extract in the aspect of diversities of horticultural therapy progaram and learning tools. The extraction of dye was used fresh and dried mugworts for minutes at 100℃. Those staining was performed for 20 minutes at 70-80℃. The mordant was performed by post-mordant which was used by 1% of mordant fluid for 20 minutes at room temperature. As shown in results of staining of fresh mugworts extract, dyeing of the fabric of mugwort extract was confirmed, because ᐃE values were more than 16.22 and 7.74 in silk fabrics and cotton fabrics, respectively. Surface color in silk fabrics appeared on GY series in Al2(SO4)3 and FeSO4 treatments. However, in case of cotton fabrics, surface color appeared on GY and Y series, according to the concentration of Al2(SO4)3 and FeSO4. In the case of use of the mordants extracted from dried mugwort containing into boiling water, surface color in silk fabrics appeared on GY series in Al2(SO4)3 and FeSO4 treatments and Y series on CuSO4 treatments. However, in case of cotton fabrics, surface color appeared on Y series in Al2(SO4)3, FeSO4 and CuSO4 treatments. For the purpose of making teaching tools related with natural dyes, the appropriate amount of dried mugwort per 1L of water was about 15g. Using these amounts, the number of handkerchief of cotton fabrics was 2-4 sheets and the number of scarf of silk fabrics was 1-2 sheets. We had developed the package of natural dyeing teaching tools including 1) dyes containing gauze bag with 15g of dried mugwort, 2) mordants, 3) handkerchief and scarf and binding elastic cords for the dyeing materials of dried mugwort. we suggest that everyone can easily use the natural dyeing package developed by natural mugwort and it can be usefully utilized as horticultural therapy program and learning tools.
