초록

The object of this study is to identify the structural relationships of internalized shame, rejectionsensitivity, relational aggression in university students and to verify whether the rejection sensitivity has amediating effect in the influence of internalized shame on relational aggression. The research questions are asfollows: First, what is the relationship between internalized shame, rejection sensitivity, and relational aggressionin university students? Second, does rejection sensitivity mediate in the influence of internalized shame onrelational aggression in university students? A survey was conducted for university students attending four-yearuniversities in Seoul, Busan, Daegu, and Incheon and a total of 444 questionnaires were used for the analysis.
The measurement tools were composed of internalized shame scale, Korean university student rejectionsensitivity scale, and relational aggression scale. The main results of this study are summarized as follows: First,the relationship between internalized shame, rejection sensitivity, and relational aggression in university studentswas found to have a significant positive correlation. Second, the analysis of the mediating effect of rejectionsensitivity showed that rejection sensitivity confirmed the complete mediating effect in the path of the influenceof internalized shame on relational aggression. Through these results of this study, the significance andlimitations of this study and suggestions for follow-up studies were discussed.
