新石器時代 南部地方 文物交流 樣相- 生業을 中心으로 - (Aspects on the Southern Regions' Cultural Exchanges during the Neolithic Period-Focused on the Occupation-)

초록

대한해협을 사이에 둔 두 지역(우리나라 남해안지역과 일본 北部九州지역)은 자연환경ㆍ지리적 조건과 생업환경의 유사성으로 선사시대부터 많은 문물 이동을 비롯한 교류가 빈번하게 행해졌던 곳이다. 그 결과 양 지역은 서로의 문화가 유입되어 많은 고고학적인 자료로 남아있어 다양한 관점에서 연구가 진행되고 있는 실정이다. 그러나 선사시대 문물교류의 시스템 중, 상당 부분을 차지하고 있다고 생각되는 생업에 대한 연구는 미미한 편이다. 선사시대 생업은 같은 환경조건에서도 환경 적응력을 비롯해 집단의 목적ㆍ이념 등에 의해 다른 양상을 보이는 것이 일반적이다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 두 지역의 생업유형을 중심으로 교류 시스템의 변화에 대해 살펴보았다.
그 결과, 두 지역에서는 주된 생업활동이 시기에 따라 달라 교류양상에 있어서도 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 즉, 두 지역 모두 중기를 중심으로 생업유형에 큰 변화를 보이고 있으며 생업형태 중, 외양성 어업의 적극성과 소극성에 따라 교류활동의 주체가 변화하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 남해안 지역에서 외양성 어업이 주로 행해진 조기〜전기에는 西北九州 지역에 남해안 지역의 유물이, 중기 이후에는 西北九州 지역에서 활발한 외양성 어업이 행해져 남해안 지역에 西北九州 지역의 유물이 많이 나타난다. 그리고 각 시기의 교류 대상인 문물도 변화를 보여, 조기ㆍ전기에는 토기와 석재 등의 생업도구, 중기이후는 조개팔찌ㆍ垂飾 등 장식품이 주 대상이 된다. 따라서 두 지역의 교류활동 형태는 생업유형의 변화에 따라 교류 시스템도 시기적인 변화와 교류품의 변화가 있었음을 알 수 있었다.

영어초록

Since the Neolithic period, two regions (southern parts of Korea and northern parts of Kyusu, Japan) that lies between the Straits of Korea has experienced a frequent interchange due to the similarities in natural environment, geographical condition and occupational environment, including diverse cultural exchanges. As result, each region experienced inflows of one another's culture and has left behind plenty of archeological specimens for the various studies. However, the study towards to the matter of occupation is not sufficient; even with the belief that it takes the most part of the prehistoric age's cultural exchange systems. In accordance with the group's purposes and beliefs, in general, it is true that the prehistoric times' occupation including the adaptiveness towards the same environmental conditions show different aspects. Therefore, this study will be focused on the two region's occupation types based on it's alterations of interchange system.
As result, the main occupational activities of two regions were different for the time periods, and it significantly influenced the interchange aspects. In other words, by the time of middle era, both regions experienced a great change in the types of occupation. Deep-sea fishery, as an example of occupation type, we can define the changes in the main body of interchange activities based on its positiveness and passiveness activities. During the early and pre-period where the deep-sea fisheries were actively practiced in the southern coastal regions, there are relics of southern coastal regions in the northwestern regions of Kyusu. For the middle period where the deep-sea fisheries were actively practiced by the regions of northwestern Kyusu, there are relics from the regions of northwestern Kyusu in the southern coastal regions. The cultural properties that were exchangeable objects also showed differences by the time periods. For the early and pre-period, the main objects were based on the occupational tools such as earthenwares and building stones. For the latter of middle period, the accessories such as bracelets made out shellfish and streamers were the main objects of interchange. Accordingly, we could note that there were alterations in the two regions' interchange structures in accordance to the changes in occupation types, and it also influenced the interchangeable objects and systems, at the different time periods.
