신석기시대 한반도 해안지역 작살에 관한 검토 (The Review of Neolithic era Fishing spear and Harpoon located in the coastal area of Korean peninsula)

초록

본고는 한반도 해안지역에서 출토된 작살의 분류와 시·공간적 양상 및 작살업의 변화양상에 관하여 검토하였다.
작살의 분류는 사용방식에 의해 고정식과 분리식으로 대별되며, 재질에 따라 석제와 골제로 나뉜다. 세부적으로는 고정식에서 석촉형·석거형·편기형·사두형·여서도형으로, 분리식에서 석창형·양기형·회전식으로 분류된다. 분류에 있어서 기존의 선행연구와 다른 점은 석창형 석제작살과 양기형의 골제작살을 분리식작살에 포함시킨 점이다. 분리식 작살은 대상물에 대한 작용방식과 민족지적인 사례를 보건데 해서포유류와 대형어류를 대상으로 하는 작살로 볼 수 있다.
시간적인 양상에서는 분리식 작살을 중심으로 Ⅰ·Ⅱ기 단계로 획기를 설정하고, Ⅰ기 단계 내 에서도 전·후반으로 구분하였다. 공간적인 양상에서는 한반도 동북해안, 영동~영남해안, 호남도서지역으로 3개의 지역권이 설정되며, 각각 양기형, 석창형, 여서도형이라는 특징적인 작살이 분포하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 시·공간적인 양상은 한반도뿐만 아니라 주변의 연해주와 서북구주의 양상과도 관련이 있으며, 이는 당시 신석기시대 전체적인 문화의 변동과 그 궤를 같이하는 것으로 볼 수 있다.

영어초록

This review is conceptualized on the tools classified fishing spear and harpoon among the fishing tool. The way of this review include classification of fishing spear and harpoon, temporal and regional characteristic, relevance of the surrounding area.
First, I classify the fishing spear and harpoon on the fact that paying attention to how to use it to put a high priority. through this way, I was set-up in 8 types(5 type fishing spears and 3 type harpoons). The different thing of existing research is that the harpoon include blade of spear type and double side barb type.
Temporal and regional review could be divided into three stage which make a division Ⅰstage subdivide early and late and Ⅱstage, in temporal aspect. In regional review, three regional distribution which is respectively distinguishing fishing spear and harpoon, blade of spear · double side barb · yeoseodo type by styled set up north east coast · mid east ~ eastern south coast · western south island area. temporal change point that wide area fishing with fishing spear and harpoon occur in Korean peninsula in early Ⅰstage with foraging subsistence, but in late Ⅰstage, fishing with fishing spear and harpoon is changed intensively in narrow area range. In stage Ⅱ, fishing with fishing spear and harpoon dramatically decreased with increasing usage of toggle harpoon. This regional distribution is constructed in influencing relationship with surrounding area, and the process of changes in accordance with tem- poral change is silmilar to the Korean peninsula and the surrounding area appears.
Significance of these changes can be examined in terms of change in sub- sistence, the part of intensive fishing with fishing spear and harpoon note the fact that occupation of coastal area is more decrease than early Ⅰstage in late Ⅰstage due to agricultural development , and fishermans using fishing spear and harpoon implement intensive fishing for trade with other region. Decline of fishing with fishing spear and harpoon in Ⅱstage is as in the following. Because of decrease in spear blade type especially in Dongsam- dong site, the component ratio of toggle harpoon was increased relatively. This change is verified in sea mammal remains of Dongsam-dong site. So, the aspect of Ⅱstage assume that the increase of toggle harpoon is magnified because decrease of large whale hunting is caused by decrease of spear blade type harpoon.
