근대시형성기 시에서의 화법 변이 연구 (Study of Poem’s Narration Variation in the Formative Period of Korea Modern Poertry)

초록

현대문학에서 화자에 대한 상대 개념은 청자로 상정되기도 하고 독자로 상정되기도 한다. 시각 매체를 활용하는 문자문화의 소통체계에서 ‘청자’의 개념은 문제적이다. 이 연구는 현장에서의 직접화법에 의해 향유되던 구술문화의 시가 어떻게 문자문화의 메타적인 간접성 안에서 직접화법을 구현하는지를 논증할 것이다. 이것은 동시대의 광범위한 시의 정체성이기도 하지만 동시에 시의 기원으로부터 연역되는 문제이다. 따라서 이러한 양상을 살펴보기 위해서 이 연구가 택하는 연구 대상은 근대형성기의 시문학 텍스트들이다.
현대시에서 시의 직접화법에 대한 결정적인 영향력은 장르에 대한 독자들의 스키마(schema)와 장르의 기대지평이다. 오랜 시간 동안 문자문화를 접하면서 직접화법에 대한 표지를 장르의 스키마가 대신하고 있는 것이다. 그러나 장르적 스키마가 구성되기 전인 개화기시에서부터 근대 자유시 출현 전까지는 청중과 독자가 길항하는 어떤 과도기적 현상이 존재했을 것으로 추론할 수 있다. 이 연구의 목적은 첫째, 근대시형성기의 시 텍스트의 조사를 통하여 문자문화 내부에서 청자의 위상을 논증하는 것이고, 둘째 이러한 직접화법적 요소가 현대시의 화법을 형성한 역사적 계기라는 것을 우회적으로 증명하는 것이다.
개화기시가, 신체시 및 산문시, 1920년대 초반의 근대시의 텍스트에 나타난 파라텍스트, 문체, 지시어의 변화 과정에 대한 분석은 이 논문의 방법론을 대신한다. 이러한 변화 과정은 상황의존적 구술에서 비상황의존적 구술로의 화법적 이동이라고 요약할 수 있다.

영어초록

In modern literature, the concept of the partner of the speaker is assumed to be the audience or reader. In the communication system of written culture utilizing visual media, the concept of the ‘audience’ is problematic. This study would demonstrate how the poetry in oral culture enjoyed by a direct speech at a scene realizes direct speech in the indirectness of the written culture. This is the identity of a wide range of the contemporary poetry and at the same time, a problem deduced from the origin of poetry. Therefore, the subjects of research selected by this study in order to examine these aspects are the texts of poetry during the modern formative period.
In modern poetry, the decisive influence on the direct speech of poetry is the readers’ horizon of expectation about schema and genre. While it has long encountered written culture, the schema of the genre replaces the label of direct speech. However, it can be inferred that a certain transitional phenomenon had existed from the poetry during the time of enlightenment which was before the schema of the genre was formed through the emergence of the modern free verses, the audience and the reader compete with each other. The purposes of this study are first, to demonstrate the status of the audience from the inside of written culture through an investigation of poetry texts during the formative period of Korean modern poetry, and second, to prove that these elements of direct speech are the historical trigger that formed the speech in modern poetry, circuitously.
An analysis of the process of changes in para-texts, styles and directives of poetry during the time of enlightenment, new style poetry and prose poetry and texts of modern poetry in the early 1920s substitutes the methodology of this study. The process of these changes can be summarized as the movement of speech from situation-dependent oral statement to situation-independent oral statement.
