초록

김지하는 시적 소통의 형식미학을 자각적으로 인식하고 창작한 대표적인 시인이다. 그는 1980년대 중반 이후 생명 사상에 기반한 생명 문화론, 생명 예술론을 정립해나가면서 시적 소통론을 제시한다. 그에게 시적 소통론은 단순한 커뮤니케이션이 아니라 숨은 차원의 근원을 이루는 생명의 기운(氣運), 신성, 영성 등이 드러난 차원과 교호하면서 차원 변화를 이루어나가는 과정 속에서 전개된다. 그래서 그의 시적 소통론에는 “말의 자발적 가난”(「가난」)과 소방(疎放), 즉 스스로 성글게 하여 생기는 “틈”(「틈」), “허공”(「못난 시 10000」) 등이 중요하다. 시적 여백, 즉 “틈”과 “허공”을 만드는 것은 작은 자아를 비워서 큰 자아, 우주적인 “큰 삶이 들며 나며 통하고 울리”는 생성과정을 열어가는 것이다. 그렇다면, 여기에서 “들며 나며 통하고 울리”어야 할 “큰 삶”이란 구체적으로 무엇일까? 그것은 자신의 본성을 이루는 신령하고 무궁한 우주 생명을 가리킨다. 그래서 시적 소통을 위한 “말의 자발적 가난”은 “시 이상”에 해당하는 “개벽”으로 지칭할 수도 있다. 왜냐하면, 우주 생명의 전일성에 입각하여 외적 세계의 질서를 치유하고 신생할 수 있는 계기가 될 수 있기 때문이다. 다시 말해, 시적 소통의 틈새는 근대 기계주의 패러다임의 회로망으로부터 우주 생명의 순환성, 연속성, 관계성, 영성의 통로를 열어가는 전환의 계기가 될 수 있다는 것이다.
한편, 이러한 시적 소통은 자연스럽게 접화군생(接化群生)을 통한 사랑과 치유의 미학과 깊이 연관된다. 접화군생이란 인격, 비인격, 생명, 무생명을 포괄하는 우주 생명과 친밀하게 교섭하면서 해방시켜 가는 것을 가리킨다. 김지하의 생명시론에 해당하는 소통의 미학은 접화군생에 이르면서 완성형에 도달한다.

Kim Ji-ha is a representative poet who consciously recognizes and creates the formal aesthetics of poetic communication. Since the mid-1980s, he has established a theory of life culture and life art based on the idea of ​​life, and has presented a theory of poetic communication. To him, poetic communication is not a simple communication, but rather, it unfolds in the process of changing dimensions by exchanging with the revealed dimension such as the energy of life (氣運), divinity, and spirituality that form the source of hidden dimensions. Therefore, “voluntary poverty of words” (“Poverty”) and “space” (疎放), that is, the “gaps” (“Gap”) and “emptiness” (“10000 Ugly Poems”) that are created by making oneself sparse, are important in his theory of poetic communication. Creating poetic margins, that is, “gaps” and “emptiness,” is emptying the small self to open up the process of creation in which the large self, the cosmic “big life comes in, comes out, communicates, and resonates.” Then, what specifically is the “great life” that must “come in, come out, communicate, and resonate” here? It refers to the divine and infinite cosmic life that constitutes one’s nature. Therefore, the “voluntary poverty of words” for poetic communication can be referred to as “the opening of a new world” corresponding to “the ideal of poetry.” This is because it can be an opportunity to heal and renew the order of the external world based on the unity of cosmic life. In other words, the gap of poetic communication can be an opportunity for a transition that opens a passage to the circularity, continuity, relationship, and spirituality of cosmic life from the circuitry of the modern mechanistic paradigm. Meanwhile, this poetic communication is naturally deeply connected to the aesthetics of love and healing through contact and communion. juphagoonsaeng(接化群生) refers to liberating cosmic life that encompasses personalities, impersonalities, life, and non-life through intimate communication. The aesthetics of communication, which corresponds to Kim Ji-ha's theory of life, reaches its perfect form when it reaches the juphagoonsaeng(接化群生).
