초록

본고는 ‘文作(詩作)의 근대적 이상’과 漢字語의 관계를 조명한 것이다. 言文一致 문제나 형식 문제, 운율(리듬) 문제 등이 근대시의 기원을 定礎하는 중심과제였던 만큼 정작 전통적으로 詩歌樣式의 表記字이자 言語 그 자체였던 漢字 혹은 漢字語의 문제와 근대시의 관계를 탐색하는 문제는 거의 논의의 대상이 되지 못했다.
한자어 사용 문제와 한자표기 문제가 혼용된 채 논란이 된 경우를 제외하고, 본고에서는 한자어 문제를 중점적으로 다루었다. 그 중심 대상은 懷月 朴英熙와 岸曙 金億이며 전자의 경향을 ‘회월적인 것(경향)’, 후자의 경향을 ‘안서적인 것(경향)’이라 稱하였다. 近代詩作의 이상은 ‘상징(은유)’을 우리말 문장으로 구조화 하면서 또 그것을 시의 내용(근대적 미적 이상)으로 삼는 것, 다른 하나는 말의 미묘한 음향과 象의 움직임으로부터 암시적이고 신비한 생의 철학(시인의 개성)을 드러내는 것. 이 때 ‘구어체 조선말’은 ‘쓰기(writing)’의 핵심이자 ‘쓰기의 쓰기((composition in writing)’라는 표현(작법)의 주체가 된다. 이 과정에서 한자어의 기능을 주목할 수 있는 것이다.

영어초록

This paper figures out the relationship between the ‘modern ideal of writing’ and Chinese character word. As the matters of the identity of written and spoken language, of form, and of rhythm are central tasks underpinning the origin of the Modern Poetry, the problem searching the relationship between the Chinese character word and the Modern Poetry was barely the subject for the discussion.
Except for the case of controversy for its usage and orthography, this paper had focused on the problem of Chinese character word. The central object was Younghee Park and Eok Kim; the former’s inclination was called “like Hoiwol”, the latter’s “like Anseo” The one ideal of composition of Modern Poetry was constructing the metaphor to our language’s sentence, while regarding it as the content of the poetry(modern aesthetic ideal); the other is deriving allusive and mysterious philosophy of life from the movement of subtle sound and image. The colloquial Korean, then, becomes the essence for writing and the main agent for the expression called the ‘composition in writing’ In this process, the function of the Chinese character word gets the attention.
This paper could be summarized like this: the Chinese character word is demanded in the poetry of Eok Kim for producing the aesthetic pitch of song from late-Chosun Dynasty; in the one of Younghee Park for forming the discussion of metaphor. These two currents had become the opportunity for the Rising Poets at late-Japanese colonization to construct the complete model of the poetry composed of our colloquial language, while leading the history of Modern Korean Poetry.
