이승훈의 시의식의 변천 양상 연구 (A Study on the poetic consciousness evolution compositions of Lee, Seung-Hoon)

초록

본고의 목적은 45년간의 시력(詩歷)을 통한 이승훈의 독자적 시론인「비대상 시론(non-object)」,「비빔밥시론」,「해체시론」를 통해 그가 보여준 자신만의 독특한 시작(詩作)과 시의식의 변천 양상을 규명하는데 있다. 그의 모더니즘시는 비대상과 인칭 변화를 통한 자아탐구로 요약된다. 1960～70년대에 발간된 시집들은 ‘나’라는 1인칭을 내세워 자아탐구에 열중했다. 1980년대에는 ‘너’라는 2인칭으로, 1990년대에는 ‘그’라는 3인칭으로 이어지는 특이점으로 파악할 수 있다.
이승훈은 언어에 대해서도 탐색과 연구를 수행해 왔다. 1930년대 이상(李箱)이 싸우다 간 주체문제, 언어에 대한 자의식 문제, 사회, 정치, 경제, 역사, 문화적 상징들로 개인을 제도화 시키려는 언술법칙에 저항을 인식한 특이한 시적 인물이다. 낭만주의 시는 자아가 세계와 화해를 시도하지만 이승훈은 세계와의 불화 속에서 자신의 무의식을 만나는 초현실주의와 유사한 형태를 지니는 것으로 파악된다. 그는 자아탐구(초기)와 자아부정과 자아소멸(중기)을 거쳐 불이(不二)사상인 선시(禪詩)세계(후기)로 넘어간다. 그것은 리얼리즘이나 자연주의 기법으로 무의식을 포착한다는 것은 불가능하다고 생각했기 때문이다. 인간 존재의 실체를 파악하고 표현하기 위해 기존의 전통적인 수법을 버리고 자아부정, 자아소멸, 자아불이를 통해 얻으려 했던 정신이 시의식의 실체임을 증명한 것과 결부된다.
모더니즘에서 자아탐구를, 포스트모더니즘에서의 자아소멸을, 포스트모더니즘에서 해체주의로, 해체주의에서 불이사상으로, 불이사상에서 선시로 이동하는 시의식의 변천 양상은 전위적이고 실험적인 그의 시세계가 주목 받아야 할 이유다. 그의 전위적인 탐구정신과 실험정신은 한국모더니즘 시와 아방가르드 시의 새로운 방향을 암시하는 바가 크다. 불안한 시대적, 사회적 상황의 현대인의 내면세계를 노래한 것은 한국의 모더니스트로서 행위의 정당성이라는 합리화를 벗어날 수 없다. 그가 추구하는 일상적 삶에 대한 미적 비판과 무(無)의 탐구, 시적 언어에 대한 새로운 의식은 한국 현대시의 시사(詩史)에서 새로운 평가를 받아야 마땅 한다.

영어초록

This study is about Lee, Seung Hoon's unique poetics, [non-object poetics], [boiled rice with assorted mixtures poetics], [dissolution poetics] in his poem history for 45 years. I tried to find and define his concepts of poetics. He searched ego by non-object and changing grammatical person which he showed in the world of modernism poetry. In 60~70's, he concentrated on search of ego by showing the first person, 'I' on poems, and he showed disappearance of ego by the second person, 'you' in 80's. Then, by showing the third person, 'he' on his poems in 90's, he tried to identify meaning of existence, ego not divided and identity of 'I', 'you' and 'he'.
Lee, Seung Hoon followed continual search and study on language. As an almost unique poet who realizing 1930's Lee Sang's problems of identity, self-consciousness about language, and resistance against rhetoric law that tries to systematize individuals with social, political, economical, historical and cultural symbols, I tried to prove. In romanticism poetry, ego tries to compromise with the world, but Lee, Seung Hoon shows similar form to surrealism meeting self essence in disagreement with the world.
Receiving baptism of Seon poetry of ego not divided thought through ego denial and ego disappearance which he argued is not able to seize unconsciousness by techniques of realism or naturalism. So he threw away behavior depending on existing traditional techniques to find and express essence of human existence. I tried to show this spirit which he tried to get by ego disappearance and identity disappearance from ego denial is essence of his poetry consciousness.
The course of movement and the aspect of transition to non-object modernism, ego search from modernism, ego disappearance from post modernism, and from post modernism to deconstruction, from deconstruction to ego not divided, from ego not divided to Seon poetry, and his edgier and experimental poetry are the reason why Korean literary world should pay attention to his works.
There were no poets in Korean poetry world in 1960's clearer and changed more systematically than Lee, Seung Hoon's poetry. Particularly the course of movement of object and tone in the poetry is eye-opening fruit in Korean poetry world.
Showing transition from the world of surreal and abstract expressionist image to the world of floating significant or balloting playing, it is an aesthetic criticism on capitalism, search of alienated ego and language what he concentrated on.
Edgier thorough spirit and experimental mind means new direction of Korean modernism poetry and avant-garde poetry, and singing about inner world of modern people who are losing direction to go in the social state of the times is not able to escape from rationalization, justice of action as a Korean modernist. The aesthetic criticism on general meaning, search on nil and new consciousness about poetic language that he pursued are needed to be estimated newly about their effects on poetry history of Korean modern poetry.
