高麗 中期 靑磁花形楪匙 硏究 (A Study on Mid-Goryeo Celadon Foliate Dish)

초록

고려시대 청자화형접시는 고려 전시기의 가마터에서 확인되는 기종으로 청자화형접시를 통해 시기별 특징과 형태의 변화과정을 확인할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 고려 중기 가마터와 유적에서 출토된 청자화형접시를 살펴봄으로써 고려 중기 청자화형접시의 양식 변천을 고찰하였다.
남서부지역을 중심으로 고려 중기 가마터에서 출토된 청자화형접시를 살펴본 결과 용운리 9호와 10호에 대해서 지금까지 연구자들의 다양한 의견들이 있었지만, 청자화형접시를 통해 9호와 10호-Ⅰ층은 11세기, 10호-Ⅱ층은 12세기 전반∼13세기 전반으로, 부안 진서리 18호와 유천리 6구역․7구역은 12세기 후반∼13세기 전반으로 보았다.
11세기 후반∼12세기 전반의 기년명을 가진 정요와 경덕진요의 화판형접시를 통해 태안 대섬에서 출토된 청자화형접시의 시기를 12세기 전반으로 설정하는데 근거를 제시하였다. 석릉 출토 청자화형전접시는 기존에 부안 유천리 7구역에서 제작되었을 가능성에 대해 언급되었으나, 부안 유천리 7구역의 청자화형접시와 강진지역의 유물을 면밀히 살펴 본 결과 강진에서 제작되었을 가능성에 대해서도 생각해 볼 수 있다.
고려 중기 청자화형접시는 12세기 전반 요주요와 더불어 정요의 화형접시 특징이 나타나는 점을 주목할 수 있다. 12세기 전반 이후의 중국의 화형접시는 전 지역의 窯場에서 유사한 형태로 제작되는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 고려와 중국 화형접시의 전반적인 양상을 살펴본 결과 중국의 경우 고려에 비해 다양한 형식의 화형접시가 제작되었다. 고려의 청자화형접시는 중국의 영향을 받은 요소들이 확인되지만, 중국의 화형접시의 형태 중 고려의 미감으로 문양과 기형을 선택하고, 이를 변화시켜 청자화형접시를 제작한 것을 알 수 있었다.
고려 중기 청자화형접시의 특징을 알아보기 위해 가마터와 유적에서 출토된 유물을 살펴보았다. Ⅰ-1期(12세기 전반)는 고려 초기에는 사용되지 않았던 중국 요주요의 압출양각기법이 도입되면서 요주요와 유사한 화형전접시가 제작되며, 정요의 영향도 확인된다. Ⅰ-2期(12세기 후반∼13세기 전반)는 청자화형전접시가 전반적으로 유행한다. 금속기로 제작된 중국의 능화형전접시의 제작기법의 영향으로 제작된 것으로 여겨지며, 형태적인 면에서 고려만의 특징이 확인된다.
본 논문에서는 12세기∼13세기 전반에 제작된 청자화형접시를 통해 가마터의 운영시기를 살펴봄으로써 강진과 부안지역의 가마터의 구체적인 편년을 설정해 보았고, 가마터와 유적에서 출토된 청자화형접시를 분석함으로써 고려 중기 청자화형접시의 시기별 양식을 파악할 수 있었다.

영어초록

Celadon foliate dishes from the Goryeo Dynasty have been excavated from kiln sites of early Goryeo, and show characteristics and change in shape according to different periods in time. This study investigated celadon foliate dishes excavated from mid-Goryeo kiln sites and ruins and discussed change in the celadon foliate dishes during mid-Goryeo.
Regarding celadon foliate dishes excavated from mid-Goryeo kiln sites in the Southwestern region, scholars have proposed various theories related to Yongun-ri 9 and 10. However, based on the celadon foliate dishes, it was agreed that no. 9 and 10-level 1 belong to the 11th century ; no. 10-level 2 to early 12th to early 13th century ; and Buan Jinseo-ri 18 and Yucheon-ri area 6 and 7 to late-12th to early-13th century.
Based on the foliate dish of Dingyao and Jingdezhen that are dated late-11th to early-12th century, this study proposed a basis for estimating the time of celadon foliate dish excavated in Daeseam in Taean to be the early-12th century. Although it was suggested that Celadon foliate dishes excavated in SeokReung might have been originally made in the Buan Yucheon-ri area 7. However, based on close observation of the celadon foliate dish of the area and relics found in Gangjin, this study suggested the possibility it might have been made in Gangjin.
Notably, mid-Goryeo celadon foliate dish show characteristics of foliate dishes of the early-12th century Yaozhouyao and Dingyao. Since the early-12th century, Chinese foliate dishes were made in similar shapes in klins in all regions of the country. Regarding the overall shapes of foliate dishes from Goryeo and China, Chinese dishes were more diverse in style in comparison to Goryeo dishes. Celadon foliate dishes from Goryeo show elements that were influenced by China. However, the patterns and formal elements were chosen and transformed based on the aesthetics of Goryeo to make celadon foliate dishes for Goryeo.
This study investigated relics excavated from kiln sites and ruins in order to understand characteristics of mid-Goryeo celadon foliate dishes. During the first period(early-12th century), the extrusion emboss technique of Yaozhouyao, which was not used during the early Goryeo dynasty, was in troduced and adopted to make foliate dishes that are similar to Yaozhoyao. Also, the dishes show influence of Dingyao. During the secong period(early-12th to early-13th century), celadon foliate dishes was popular, overall. It is suggested that they were influenced by foliate dishes from China, which were made with metal, but showed unique characteristics of Goryeo in terms of the shape.
This study examined the periods of kiln sites based on celadon foliate dishes made between the 12th and early-13th century, based on which the specific chronology of the kilns sites in Gangjin and Buan were estimated. Also, by analyzing celadon foliate dishes excavated in kiln sites and ruins, the study discussed the types of mid-Goryeo celadon foliate dish according to the relevant period.
