이상의 「危篤」 연작시 어휘 연구 (A study on the vocabulary of series poetry 「危篤」 by Lee Sang)

초록

이상은 「危篤」 연작시를 통해 이상 자신의 시 창작 방향을 표방하고 실험한다. 본 연구에서는 이상의 시 창작 의식을 살펴보기 위하여 그가 의도한 언어적 실험이 과연 무엇이며 어떤 과정으로 실현되었는가를 살피고자 하였다. 이상이 「危篤」 연작시 창작과정에서 제시했던 언어실험, 즉 “기능어, 조직어, 구성어, 사색어” 가운데 국어학에서 통용되는 용어는 ‘기능어’에 한정된다. 그 외 구성어와 조직어와사색어는 의미와 개념이 불분명하며 국어학 용어로도 통용되지 않는 말들이다.
본고에서는 개념이 분명한 ‘기능어’를 중심으로 「危篤」 연작시에서의 언어적실험을 고찰하였다. 연구의 결과로 나타난 「危篤」 연작시의 특징은 다음과 같다. 이상은 「危篤」 연작시에서 기능어를 다채롭게 사용하였다. 특히 그는 보조용언을다양하게 활용하여 창작하였음이 확인된다. 이는 「危篤」 연작시에서 이상의 시적자아의 감정과 인식을 좀 더 세밀하게 드러내는 결과로 나타난다. 「危篤」 연작시의또 하나의 특징은 ‘二字 한자어’로 된 어휘들에서 찾을 수 있다. 이들 어휘는 시 본문과 결합력이 강한 제목으로 쓰이기도 하고, 시 본문에서 내용을 응집시키는 한자어로 나타나기도 한다.
「危篤」 연작시의 가장 두드러진 특징은 수식어구와 수식 대상의 독특한 결합에 의한 새로운 의미 창조에 있다. 이상은 추상어와 감각어를 결합시켜서, 이질적이고 유사성이 없는 대상들을 병치시키고 충돌시켜 새로운 느낌을 만들어낸다. 대체로 수식어 부분은 구상어로 이루어져 있고, 수식 대상은 추상어로 나타난다

영어초록

Lee Sang expresses and experiments his creative writing direction through series poetry 「危篤」. To figure out the creative work awareness of Lee Sang, this study examined his linguistic experiment, process and its realization. In the linguistic experiment that Lee Sang provided in his creative writing of series poetry 「危篤」 that is to say “function word, organization word, composition word and contemplation word”, the term used in the Korean language is limited to 'function word.' Composition word and organization word and contemplation word are unclear in the concept and meaning and are not generally used in the Korean terminology.
This study attempted to figure out the linguistic experiment result of series poetry 「危篤」 with special reference to 'function word' which has clear concept of series poetry 「危篤」. The characteristics of series poetry 「危篤」 are as follows. Lee Sang used function word in his series poetry 「危篤」. In particular, it is clear that he used auxiliary postposition and auxiliary predicate frequently to demonstrate nuance of the speaker. Lee Sang expressed his linguistic awareness that focused on the nuance in his 「危篤」 through function word. However, the study clearly found the similarity instead of dissimilarity in his nuance focused linguistic awareness and its realization when his 「危篤」 and previous poems are compared. And his series poetry 「危篤」 used unique compound noun that has literary implication. Besides, his 'contemplation word' experiment that is assumed to be 'conception word' can be found two-letter Sino-Korean words. The series poetry 「危篤」 is the work with strong adhesion between title and content. As such, title of the poem compresses the contents and meaning in two-letter Sino-Korean words.
Most of all, the strongest characteristics of series poetry of 「危篤」 is in the creation of new meaning by unique combination between modifier and the subject of modification. Vocabularies that form modifier show unique combination. Lee Sang combines conception word and sensation word to juxtapose heterogeneous and dissimilar objects and to create a new feeling. In general, modifiers are composed of construction words and the subject of modification are expressed as conception word.
