윤곤강의 고려가요 수용시 고찰 (Consideration of Yun, Gon-gang’s Poetry Accepting Goryeo Gayo)

초록

윤곤강은 지난날의 서구 지향적이고, 일본 지향적이었던 자신의 문학행위를 반성하고, 그 대안으로 우리의 고려가요에 눈을 돌려, 고려가요의고유어 가락에 일상사를 담아내고자 하였다. 그리하여 윤곤강은 시집 피리와 살어리에서 고려가요를 현대시에 담는 실험을 하였고, <청산별곡>의 시어인 ‘살어리’로써 시집의 제목까지 삼았던 것이다.
윤곤강의 시에 수용된 고려가요는 <동동>, <청산별곡> 등 11편이다.
그의 시에 고려가요가 수용된 경우를 보면, ① 제사로써 뿐만이 아니라작품 본문에도 수용이 된 경우, ② 제사 없이 작품 본문에만 수용된 경우, ③ 제사로써만 수용된 경우의 양상을 띠고 있다. ①에는 <피리> 등 6 편, ②에는 <빛을 그리는 노래> 등 5편, ③에는 <공작부> 등 6편이 해당된다.
윤곤강의 고려가요 수용시의 실상을 알아보기 위해, ①의 예로써 <피리>와 <새해 노래>를, ②의 예로써 <사랑(序詩)>와 <바닷가에>를, ③의예로써 <밤의 노래>와 <별>을 들어 작품을 면밀히 분석하였다. 그 결과이들 각각의 작품은 고려가요의 구절이나 정서를 작품의 적재적소에 적절히 활용함으로써 형식이나 내용 면에서 작품의 완성도를 제고하는데크게 기여하고 있음을 확인할 수가 있다.
윤곤강의 고려가요 수용시는, 자국시가옹호론의 전통을 계승하여, 고려가요의 우수성을 내세우고, 고려가요의 운율과 정서를 현대시에 되살려 우리의 고유한 시를 쓰고자 창작한 시들이었다는 점에서 그 가치가 인정된다. 또한 이른바 다시 쓰기 문학사의 체계적인 서술에 있어서 문학사의 서두를 장식할 작품들이라는 점에서 그의 또 하나의 가치가 인정된다고 생각한다.

영어초록

It might be safe to say that the poet who showed the most aggressive concern for acceptance of Goryeo Gayo, and actually accepted Goryeo Gayo into his own poetic works is no other than Yun, Gon-gang among the poets in early days in Korea. Poet Yun reflected on his pro-West, Japan-oriented literary act of bygone days, and as an alternative to this, poet Yun tried to include everyday affairs in turned his eyes onto the inherent tune of Goryeo Gayo. Accordingly, Yun, Gon-gang did experiment on putting Goryeo Gayo into modern poetry in his collection of poems titled The Pipe and Sareori, and further, poet Yun used the poetic word ‘Sareori’ of Cheongsanbyeolgok as the title of a collection of poems.
The Goryeo Gayo accepted into Yun, Gon-gang’s poetry accounted for 11 pieces of works, such as Dongdong․ Cheongsanbyeolgok, etc. Looking into the case where Goryeo Gayo is accepted in his poetry, it is found that his poetry assumes an aspect of ①the case where it is accepted not only as titular words but also as the text of works, ②the case where it is accepted only as the text of a work without titular words, and ③the case where it is accepted only as titular words. 6 pieces of poetic works such as The Pipe etc. belong to ①; 5 pieces of poetic works such as A Song longing for Light, etc. belong to ②, and 6 pieces of poetic works such as Gongjakbu, etc. belong to ③.
This paper, in an effort to look into the actual state of Yun, Gong-gang’s poetry accepting Goryeo Gayo, made a thorough analysis of the poetic works The Pipe and New Year’s Song as an example of ①, of the poetic works Love(Prologue), and On the Seashore as an example of ②, and of the poetic works The Song of the Night and Stars as an example of ③. As a result, the paper could confirm that these individual poetic works greatly contribute to the increase in the degree of completion of works in terms of form, or contents by properly making use of the verses, or emotion of Goryeo Gayo for his works in the right place.
The value of Yun, Gon-gang’s poetry accepting Goryeo Gayo is recognized in that poet Yun created those poetic works with the aim of writing our inherent poems by setting forth superiority of Goryeo Gayo, and reviving the cadence and emotion of Goryeo Gayo in modern poetry while inheriting the tradition of the homeland poetry defense statement which had been ceaselessly coming to the fore as the demand of the times. In addition, this paper thinks that poet Yun’s value could be recognized in that his poetic works are the ones which will garnish the beginning of the systematic description of ‘Rewriting of Korean Literature’ in the present situation where the so-called the re-written works are mass-produced.
