유라시아 시민성 함양연구 (A Study on the Cultivating Eurasian Citizenship)

초록

중국의 지속적 성장에 따라 SCO 지도자들은 유라시아 시민성 함양매개로 ‘상하이정신’을 칭송하였다. ‘상하이정신’의 전형으로 ‘정신적 화해와 문화사이 대화’, 그리고‘상호신뢰, 호혜평등, 상호협의, 문화 다양성 존중, 공동발전에 대한 열망’ 등이다. ‘문명사이 유라시아’ 관점에서 러시아와 동아시아 문명의 정신적 친근성을 기반으로 삼는공통성이 드러난다. 이에 한국고대 ‘홍익인간정신’과 함께 한국근대, ‘실사구시정신’이아시아와 유럽 문명을 이어주고 매개하는 정신적 토대로서 ‘상하이정신’에 필적할만하다.
실심실학의 명재 윤증(明齋 尹拯; 1629-1714)은 실사구시 자세로서 실심실학과 마음치유를 겸한 존심성찰을 중시했다. 우리는 실심기반으로 유라시아 시민성함양을 기대할 수 있다. 강화실학의 하곡(霞谷) 정제두(鄭齊斗: 1649-1736)는 타자고통에 감통하는 ‘성의정심(誠意正心)’을 강조하고 실사구시를 체용일원 관점에서 체계화했다. 하곡의 ‘실사구시’ 정신 가운데 ‘무의’는 억측이나 편견을 극복하고, ‘무필’은 기필코 한다는강박의식을 없애며, ‘무고’는 무리하게 고집부리지 않고, ‘무아’는 자신만을 내세우지않음이니 하곡의 실심감통으로 명재의 실심기반과 더불어 유라시아 시민성숙과 지혜함양에 내포된 미덕으로 유라시아 시민성 함양에 기여할 수 있다.

영어초록

The conceptualization of Eurasia arose in the 18th century from the needfor Pyotr the Great to merge the territories acquired during the war againstCharles XII of Sweden. He sought to establish a new geographical outline,including the acquired territory. This resulted in the shift of Russia’sposition on the map of Europe from Asia to Europe at the Europeancontinent. In the 19th century Nikolai Danilevsky defined Eurasia as aseparate geographical unit from Europe and Asia. In relation to the currentEurasianism, Rangsimaporn divided Eurasianism into ‘Pragmatic Eurasianism’,‘Neo-Eurasianism’ and ‘Inter-civic Eurasianism among civilizations.’ Fromthis perspective of Inter-civic Eurasianism, the main focus is the cultivatingeurasian citizenship between civilizations.
Following China’s remarkable growth, SCO leaders praised the ‘Shanghaispirit’ as a medium of Eurasian culture. Typical examples of the ‘Shanghaispirit’ include ‘mental reconciliation and intercultural dialogue.’ If it isilluminated from a position belonging to ‘Eurasianism Between Civilizations,’it would indicate a commonality that claims the mental friendliness ofRussian and East Asian civilizations. Along with the Korean ancient‘Humanitarian Spirit,’ and the Korean modern ‘Realistic spirit’ arecomparable to the ‘Shanghai Spirit.’Myeong-jae would say that he lived an honest life without seeking fame.
Myung-jae’s emphasis on one mind and the real mind forms the basis of equality. All-round education is important regardless of age. Characterrecognizes the value of things, and sincerity refers to the mind set ofstudying for cultivating citizenship. He valued practicality over justificationand practice over theory. Ha-gok said the compassion of the batter’s painwas ‘Good Knowledge’ or ‘Benevolence.’Ha-gok emphasized ‘Nature’ and organized the action of ‘truth’ thatmakes the main body of unreleased land suitable for reality from theperspective of body use. In addition, he needs wisdom to revive the spiritof ‘sincere,’ ‘free’, ‘innocent,’ and ‘non-ego’ as practice for cultivating Eurasiancitizenship. Thus combining them and concentrating them, the virtue ofhumility implicit in the maturity and wisdom of Eurasian citizens can besaid to be a win-win saving for Asian and European citizens to live together.
