초록

본 논문은 크리스천 지도자들이 지녀야할 기독교적인 리더쉽의 정체성을 다루고 있다. 또한 전통적인 리더쉽의 일반 이론과 성경적인 리더쉽의 원리를 간략하게 검토하였다. 시대적인 변화와 함께 영리단체 뿐 아니라 비영리단체에서도 과거의 리더쉽에 관한 인식의 틀로써는 시대적인 욕구를 충족시킬 수 가 없다. 마찬가지로 크리스천 리더들에게 새로운 리더쉽의 패턴이 요구 되고 있다. 본 논문은 기독경영학자의 시각에서 일반적 리더쉽 이론과 성경적인 리더쉽 원리와의 연결 및 통합을 시도함으로 신뢰, 영성, 변혁, 비전, 자기희생을 미래 크리스천 리더쉽의 새로운 패러다임으로 제시하고 있다. 이러한 리더쉽의 특성들은 학술적으로도 검증된 내용으로써 이를 적용하고 실천에 옮긴다면 학문하고, 정치하고, 기업하는 크리스천 지도자들이 하나님의 뜻을 구체적으로 실현할 수 있는 근거가 될 것이다.

영어초록

Leadership theories are voluminous and many of them are confusing. They are grouped in three major theories which were believed to make effective leadership: trait theories, behavioral theories and situational theories. However, each of them has both successes and failings in explaining the leadership .
Great leadership is found in any Bible story. But the concept of leader in the Old Testament is not the same as the one in the New Testament. The leaders in the Old Testament had power and control over the followers a their head. The New Testament leaders influenced the people through the relationship being of coworkers.
Considering general leadership theories and biblical leadership lessons, five new paradigms are suggested for the Christian leaders who need to increase their performances in the 21st century. First, "Trust-giving leadership" is offered where people are likely to follow a leader whom they perceive as honest and trustful. Integrity, competence, consistency, loyalty and openness are five key factors of ""Trust-giving leadership". Second, "Spirituality leadership" is suggested which is not about God or theology. Workplace spirituality recognizes that people have inner life and they want to nourish it. The spirituality of the workplace draws on such topics as values, ethics and a meaningful balance of work and life. Third, "Transformational leadership" is discussed. This type of leader who is sometimes called a charismatic leader inspires followers to transcend their own self-interest for the good of the organization. Fourth, "Visionary leadership' is explained where a leader with a vision has the ability to create and articulate a realistic and attractive vision of the future for an organization. The "Visionary leadership" goes beyond charisma and makes the vision happen by calling for the skills, talent and resources from the people. Fifth, "Self-sacrificing leadership" focuses on the leader who carries out his daily jobs, but in the case of crisis, he makes sacrifice of himself for an individual or a whole organization.
