고려 유적 출토 송대(宋代) 흑유완(黑釉碗)의 양식적 특징과 유입양상 (Stylistic characteristics and influx patterns of Song Dynasty black-glazed bowl excavated from Goryeo ruins)

초록

이 연구는 고려 유적에서 출토되는 송대 흑유완의 양식적 특징과 제작시기, 출토 지역과 유적의 성격, 송대 흑유완의 고려 유입과 유통 양상을 종합적으로 다룬 것으로 그 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다.
송대 흑유완은 고려의 궁성, 사지, 분묘, 생활유적에서 출토되었는데 북송과 남송대 제작된 것으로 고려에는 11세기 말∼12세기 전반 경을 시작으로 13세기 중반 경까지 유입되었다. 출토 양상을 살펴보면 송대 흑유완은 특히 개성 일대의 분묘와 사지 출토품이 많고, 비교적 고급품은 개성 일대와 일부 사찰에서만 확인되어 주요한 소비 계층이 왕실이나 귀족, 승려였던 것을 알 수 있었다.
특히 남송대 흑유완은 북송대 흑유완에 비해 출토 수량이 증가하고 있는데, 이는 송대 남방의 가마에서 제작된 흑유완이 송상(宋商)을 통해 활발히 유입된 데 따른 것으로 생각한다. 특히 송과 고려의 해상교류에서 중간 기착지로 이용된 서해안의 태안 마도 해역에서 출수된 흑유완은 송에서 고려 개경으로 들어올 때 황해 남부 사단항로가 중국 자기의 운송 경로로 이용되었던 정황을 보여준다.
또한 송대 흑유완은 왕실과 관련되지 않은 사찰이나 분묘 등에서도 출토되었는데, 국가나 왕실 지원 없이도 사세(寺勢)가 높거나 유서 깊은 사찰, 지방의 귀족 계층 무덤이나 생활유적 등에서 출토되고 있어 소비가 보다 확산된 것으로 보았다. 이것은 귀족, 승려 계층이 송상이나 송나라 승려와의 교류를 통해 흑유완을 확보할 수 있었고, 후원, 구입, 선물 등의 방법으로 고려 내에서 유통이 가능했기 때문이라고 생각한다.

영어초록

This study comprehensively covered the stylistic characteristics, production period, excavation area and nature of the relics, the period of introduction of Song black-glazed bowls into Goryeo, and the distribution pattern in Goryeo. The results are summarized as follows. Song black-glazed bowls were excavated from palaces, temple sites, tombs, and living sites in Goryeo. They were produced during the Northern and Southern Song Dynasties and were introduced into Goryeo starting from the late 11th century to the early 12th century and continuing until the mid-13th century. When examining the pattern of excavation from Goryeo relics, Song black-glazed bowls were found in particular in the tombs and temple sites of the Gaeseong area, and relatively high-quality items were found only in the Gaeseong area and some temples, indicating that the main consumer classes were the royal family, nobles, and monks.
In particular, the number of Southern Song black-glazed bowls excavated increased compared to Northern Song black-glazed bowls, which is thought to be due to the active introduction of black-glazed bowls produced in kilns in the southern Song Dynasty through Song Shang. In particular, the black glazed bowls unearthed from the Taean Mado waters on the west coast, which were used as intermediate stops in the maritime exchange between Song and Goryeo, show that the Yellow Sea route was used as a transport route for Chinese porcelain when entering Gaeseong from Song. In addition, black glazed bowls from the Song Dynasty were also unearthed from temples and tombs that were not related to the royal family. They were unearthed from temples with high status or long history, tombs of the local aristocracy, and living remains, even without support from the state or the royal family, suggesting that the consumer class had expanded. This was believed to be because the aristocracy and monks who had close relationships with Song merchants at the time were able to secure black glazed bowls from the Song Dynasty through orders, gifts, and donations.
