대학 교양체육 테니스에서 양손 백핸드 그라운드스트로크 평가도구 개발 (Objectivity of the Proposed Evaluation Tool for Two-Handed Backhand Ground Strokes in College-Level Physical Education Tennis Classes)

초록

교양체육의 하나로 테니스를 배우는 대학생에게 양손 백핸드 그라운드스트로크의 주요한 동작을 쉽게 이해하고 구사할 수 있도록 가르치는 기초 자료의 제시와 이 기술의 습득정도를 객관적으로 평가할 수 있는 평가도구의 개발을 본 연구의 목적으로 하였다. 이를위해 선행연구의 결과를 바탕으로 현장 지도자의 의견과 체육 전문가의 자문을 구하여 양손 백핸드 그라운드스트로크 평가도구를 개발하였다. 연구대상은 서울 소재 S1 대학교와 S2 대학교에서 2015년 1학기 교양체육으로 테니스를 수강한 비체육전공 남녀 대학생 중본 연구의 목적에 동의하여 참가동의서를 읽고 서명한 19명(남자 14명, 여자 5명)이었다. 평가도구에 제시된 구분동작의 세부사항을중심으로 전체적인 동작 설명, 동영상 시청 및 지도자의 시범을 통해 양손 백핸드 그라운드스트로크에 관한 주요 사항을 익힌 후, 16 주간 주 1회 2시간의 수업 시간 중 일부를 할애하여 지도자의 지도아래 양손 백핸드 연습을 하였다. 3회에 걸쳐 양손 백핸드 그라운드스트로크 구사 능력을 평가하기 위한 동영상 촬영을 하였으며, 본 연구진을 포함한 평가자 5인이 평가도구에 제시된 세부항목에 따라 평가하였다. 평가자의 평가점수에 대한 객관도 검증을 위해 SPSS 21.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 이원혼합모형을 적용한 급내상관계수(Intraclass correlation coefficient)를 산출하였으며, 통계적 유의수준은 .05로 설정하였다. 전문가 및 평가자들이 내용타당도를 검증한 평가도구의 객관도 분석 결과에서 평가자간 신뢰도는 각각 시기별로 r=.927, r=.976, r=.973으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구 결과는제시된 평가도구가 평가자의 주관적인 판단을 배제시켜 신뢰도가 높으며 객관적임을 의미한다. 향후 타격 후 공의 속력, 방향, 성공률등과 같은 객관적인 변수들을 평가도구에 추가하여 현장 적용의 유용성을 높일 필요가 있다.

영어초록

A research effort was undertaken with two goals: 1) to develop basic materials to help teach two-handed tennis ground strokes to college-level physical education class students so they may easily understand and acquire the essential motions involved, and 2) to develop an evaluation tool to measure the level of skill acquisition. To meet these goals, a two-handed backhand ground stroke evaluation tool was devised based on consultations with tennis coaches in the field and sports experts as well as previous research results. The tool was then tested against 19 non-sports-majoring students (14 male and 5 female students), who were enrolled in physical education tennis programs during the first semester of the 2015 academic year and agreed to participate in the testing program. The students were first given an exposure to the two-handed backhand ground stroke through an explanation of the overall motion, a video viewing, and a demonstration by instructors. This was followed by actual practice of the stroke under instructors' supervision for parts of weekly two-hour classes over a 16-week period. During this process, the students were video-taped at three different occasions as they practiced their swings, which were subsequently viewed and evaluated by a five-member panel - including the authors - in the various categories specified in the evaluation tool. In order to test the objectivity level of the evaluation results, intra-class correlation coefficients were calculated by employing a two-way ANOVA model in conjunction with the SPSS 21.0 program while the statistical significance level being set at 0.05. Results of this objectivity analysis showed that the intra-class correlation coefficients were 0.927, 0.976, and 0.973 for the first, second and third evaluation, respectively. This outcome implies that the evaluation tool may be considered fairly objective, with the subjective aspect of the individual panel members' scoring having minimal influence on the evaluation result. It would be worthwhile to incorporate additional objective factors, such as the post-contact ball speed and direction and success rate, into the present tool in the near future so as to increase its applicability to the actual field cases.
