초록

이 글은 ≪표준국어대사전≫에 실린 한자어 및 한자어를 구성 요소로 안고 있는 혼종어를 대상으로 <한글 맞춤법> 제52항과 관련되는 한자어 속의 속음이 얼마나 있고 어떤 유형으로 분류되고 어떤 성격을 지닌 것으로 볼 수 있는 것인지 살펴보려는 것이다. 속음을 포함하고 있는 어휘는 모두 813개가 있는데 여기에서 보이는 속음은 모두 212개이다. 속음 중에서 자립성을 가진 1음절 한자어로 쓰인 것은 3개뿐이며 나머지 810개는 다음절 어휘에서 쓰인다. 위치상 비어두에서만 존재하는 속음은 131개이고, 이런 속음을 포함하는 한자어의 개수는 737개 정도에 달해 속음은 비어두에서의 쓰임이 압도적이다. 혼종어 속에서 보이는 속음은 전체 어휘의 29.88%에 달한다. 속음을 포함하는 어휘 중 전문어인 것은 『역사』, 『불교』, 『식물』, 『의학』, 『건설』, 『지명』, 『한의』, 『민속』 등에서 상위의 분포를 보였는데, 이들 분야 어휘는 다른 분야의 어휘 형성에 참여하는 것들이 많아 속음의 확산에 중요한 역할을 하였다. 속음은 경음화를 보이는 것, 일반적 유통음과 비교하여 평음과 격음의 교체를 보이는 것, 후설 고모음화와의 관련성이 의심되는 것, 비어두에서 본음이 아닌 /ㄹ/ 관련 속음을 지니게 된 것, 구개음화, 전설 모음화와 관련한 것, 종성 탈락 현상을 보이는 것 등으로 묶어 국어 음운론적으로 어느 정도 유형화하여 볼 수 있다. 끝으로 ≪표준국어대사전≫에는 속음이 실려 있지만 속음 관련 정보가 ‘纛▽[둑]’∼‘纛[둑]’과 같이 일관되게 처리되지 못한 것으로 보이는 것이 일부 있어 보완이 필요하다.

영어초록

This article aims to examine how many and what types of common Sino-Korean there are in Korean Chinese vocabulary related to paragraph 52 of the Korean Spelling Law, and what characteristics can be considered for the Korean Chinese vocabulary and mixed words that contain Korean Chinese vocabulary in the Pyojungugeo daesajeon(Standard Korean Language Dictionary). There are a total of 813 vocabulary words that contain common Sino-Korean, and the total number of common Sino-Korean seen here is 212. Among the common Sino-Korean words, only three were written in one-syllable Chinese characters with independence, and the remaining 810 are used in the next verse vocabulary. Due to its location, there are 131 common Sino-Korean words that exist only in the empty head, and the number of Chinese characters including these common Sino-Korean words reaches 737, making the common Sino-Korean more predominant in the empty head. The shorthand seen in the mixed language amounts to 29.88% of the total vocabulary. Among the vocabulary words containing common Sino-Korean, the vocabulary words showed the highest distribution in historical field, Buddhist field, plant field, medical field, construction field, geographical field, Korean medicine field, folk field vocabulary in these fields plays an important role in the spread of common Sino-Korean as many participate in the formation of vocabulary in other fields. In terms of Korean phonological terms, common Sino-Korean can be grouped into showing hard and aspirated sounds, showing replacement of plain and aspirated sounds compared to general circulation sounds, suspected relevance to hussel high-pitched sounds, having a /ㄹ/-related shorthand sound that is not the main sound in the biardu, related to oral and legendary vowels, and showing the ending elimination phenomenon. By tying it up in this way, the formation of common Sino-Korean can be categorized into some degree in terms of Korean phonology. Finally, the Pyojun-gugeo daesajeon(Standard Korean Language Dictionary) contains common Sino-Korean, but there are some information related to common Sino-Korean that have not been processed consistently, such as ‘纛▽[둑(duk)]’∼‘纛[둑(duk)]’, so it needs to be supplemented.
