기독교 집사직무 전통 속에서 여성디아코니아 직무와 역할에 관한 연구 (A Study on Women's Diaconical Office and their Role within the Tradition of a Comprehensive Diaconical Office in Christianity)

초록

오늘날 한국교회가 점점 더 생명력을 잃은 채 위축되어가는 위기 속에서 목회자들은 한국교회의 갱신의 길을 찾고 있다. 그런데 한국교회 위기요인 가운데 하나는 개신교가 지나치게 말씀선포에 집중하는 목사직무에 큰 비중을 둔 채, 복음에 기초한 예수제자 공동체를 보증해주는 교회의 디아코니아집사직무를 소홀히 해온 점을 부인할 수 없다. 본래 초기기독교공동체 이래로 개신교회들은 말씀선포직무와 함께 약자들을 돌보는 디아코니아직무를 수립하여 복음을 온전하게 보존하는 성장과 함께 성숙을 이어왔다. 이러한 교회직무 가운데 여성들이 동등하게 참여하였고, 특히 여성디아코니아직무를 통해 온전한 복음실천으로 교회와 사회를 섬겨 하나님나라 현실화에 기여하였다. 그런데 교회사전통 속에서 본연의 정체성을 가진 디아코니아집사직무가 위축, 소멸되어 기능하지 못했을 때, 교회는 수직위계지배 질서구조로 교회공동체를 타락시켰다. 이제 우리는 기독교전통 속에서 온전한 복음을 보존하고, 실천해온 디아코니아직무의 역사적 유산을 성찰함으로 오늘날 한국교회가 복음에 기초한 성장과 성숙하는 진정한 교회의 길을 재발견해야만 한다.
이러한 필요성 가운데 본 논문은 특히 교회직제 가운데 하나인 집사직무 속에서 여성안수집사직무와 역할에 대해 전승사적 문헌연구 방법을 통해 그 의미결과가 오늘날 한국교회에게 줄 수 있는 도전과 가능성을 제시하고자 하였다. 즉, 한국 개신교회가 가부장적 수직위계질서구조를 극복하고, 각자 은사에 따른 만인사제직으로 여성과 남성이 동등하게 섬기는 교회의 집사직무와 활동을 연구함으로 교회공동체 생명력 회복의 길을 제시하고자 했다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 한국교회가 집사집무 본연의 고유성을 회복갱신하며, 설령, 그동안 여성안수집사직무를 수용하지 않았기에 이를 새로 도입하는 것에 한계가 있을지라도, 교회전통 속에서 여성안수집사들이 수행해온 디아코니아사역을 위해 현대적 요청에 적합한 교회 안에 공적직무형태의 여성지도력을 세워 섬기도록 하는 중요성에 도달하였다. 이는 한국 개신교 안에 성서의 남녀안수집사직무에 상응하는 현대적인 직무역할을 위해 안수 받은 기독교사회복지사직무형태를 도입해서 목회직무를 돕고, 교회와 사회를 전문성 있게 섬김으로 교회의 생명력회복에 기여하도록 함이다. 따라서 한국개신교회가 섬김의 지도력을 통해 교회의 가부장지배구조를 극복하며, 교회 안팎에서 고통당하는 자들의 생명을 살리기 위해 해방구원 복음에 기초한 섬기는 디아코니아교회로 나갈 것을 제안하였다.

영어초록

Our contemporary christian churches in Korea will lose a great deal of vitality and will not grow further. In this difficult situation the ministers are trying to find a new reformation. The Korean Churches should not deny that one of the causes of this present is caused by the fact that the Korean Churches have mainly concentrated on preaching ministers and have neglected the diaconical work that basically assures the connection with the churches of the disciples. As in the early Christian communities the Protestant Churches have passed on the true gospel comprising both the ministerial and the diaconical office for the disadvantaged therefore preserving and furthering the growth and maturing of the communities. In these offices women played an important part in this fundamental diaconical work to realize the Kingdom of God by serving their community and their society as demanded by the Gospel. In the course of church history the christian community has been severely damaged because the once important diaconical office has lost its original function by being repressed by the church hierarchy in the late Middle Ages. It is now important to preserve the true gospel by regenerating the important heritage of the diaconical office because the Korean Churches can only grow and mature beneficially by reflecting the comprehensive traditions of the early church with the aim of rediscovering a new way of church life.
Given these necessities this paper examines the women's diaconical office and its important role interrelation with church offices and the comprehensive diaconical office in particular. Methodically the paper uses the tradition of historical research. It will make clear that the hierarchically patriarchal structure must be overcome so that women and men are members of the same value which will create a better service because both, can contribute their particular abilities and talents. In this way the Korean Churches will find a new vitality that cannot be achieved by teaching only. All this makes it absolutely necessary that the women's diaconical office must be introduced into the Korean Churches because it once had an important role in the early christian church. Although this women's diaconical office has not yet existed within Korean Churches it must be established by all means because it is in correspondence with modern forms of women's diaconical office in which women have an established role and can give their best for the church. The Protestant Korean Churches must establish an ordained office of diaconica to enable the churches to achieve all their modern tasks as christian social diacons in order to contribute to the ministerial office for church and society as well. Consequently this paper suggests that the Protestant Korean Churches must overcome the patriarchally structured church by achieving a serving leadership and by moving toward a serving diaconical church. It must be established on the basis of the liberating Gospel in order to save those people that are in need within and without the church.
