애니메이션 영화 <백사: 연기> 속 중국과 서구문화의 결합에 대한 연구 (A study on the Creative Path of Chinese and Western Culure in the Animation —Centered on the animated film )

초록

서구문화가 주도하는 전 세계의 문화적 배경아래, 중국은 경제적으로 문화적으로 괄목할 만한 성장을 이루어냈다. 이에 따라 중국과 서구문화를 결합한 예술 작품이 점점 늘어갔다. 두 문화를 결합한 작품들은 형식적인 측면에서도 중국 젊은이들의 이목을 이끌었고, 또한 전 세계 각 지역 사람들이 부담 없이 접할 수 있어 중국문화의 전파에 큰 역할을 하고 있다. 2019년 초에 상영된 애니메이션 영화 <백사: 연기(白蛇: 緣起,2019년)>는 바로 이러한 작품이다.
<백사: 연기>는 다년간 다져온 중국 애니메이션 업계의 경험을 토대로, 중국 애니메이션 회사가 미국 미디어계의 큰 손인 워너사와 협업하여 제작된 애니메이션 대작이다.<백사: 연기>는 중국 애니메이션 회사와 미국 미디어계의 큰 손인 워너사가 협업하여 제작되었다. 애니메이션계에서 중국문화와 서구문화를 대담하게 결합했다는 측면에서 큰 의의를 지닌 작품이기도 하다. 특히 중국의 고전신화와 전설에 뿌리를 두면서도, 서구문화의 캐릭터 디자인, 유머 방식 등을 가미하여 중국의 민간신화 <백사전>을 알리고, 중국문화에 대해 호감을 가지게 하는 데에 있어 긍정적인 역할을 하고 있다.
본 연구는 애니메이션 영화 <백사: 연기>에서의 기본적인 표현방식의 차이을 착안점으로 하여, 특히 <백사전> 문화의 근원과 변천사, 그리고 미국 애니메이션 제작 스타일의 작품에서의 구체적인 구현 점을 통해 중국문화와 서구문화의 문화적 요소를 분석하였다.

In the past decades, under the background of the cultural environment dominated by Westrn civilization in the sorld, with the rapid rise of China's economy and the revival of Chinese culture in recent yesrs, the cultural influence of Chinese art works is gradually increasing. A unmber of cultural and artistic works in which Eastern and Western cultures blened together were born. Objectively speaking, these works can not only be formally loved by the Chinese youth, but also more easily accepted by people from different parts of the world, which is conducive to the spread and promotion of Chinese culture in the world. The animated film <White Snake> at the beginning of 2019 is such a work.
The animated film <White Snake> is an animated masterpiece that absorbs the useful experience of animation creation in China in recent years and has relatively strong creative resources, and is of great significance in terms of culture. On the one hand, <White Snake> is worthy of recognition in the use of Chinese cultural elements and the quality of works. From <Monkey King: Hero is Back> to <White Snake>, although the progress of Chinese animation has been obvious in recent years, it can be found that these works have been greatly influenced by American animation art. "White Snake" was jointly produced by China Animation Company and American media giant Warner, and it is indeed an exploratory success in the integration of Chinese culture and Western culture in the field of animation. Especially in the integration of Chinese classical myths, Western fantasy literature and American animation art creation forms, it is worthy of full recognition. At the same time, we need to see that the storyline of the anime <White Snake> is adapted from the folklore story <White Snake>, which is a well-known Chinese national legend. It has a very strong Chinese cultural heritage. Therefore, it is very important for Chinese young audiences and the world audience to understand the ancient Chinese legends of <White Snake> and to understand and love Chinese culture.
On the one hand, this study analyzes Chinese culture and Western cultural elements from the basic performance of Chinese and Western cultures in the animated film <White Snake>. In particular, it will focus on the analysis of the origin and evolution of the <White Snake> culture in film <White Snake> and the specific performance of American animated art style in the works. On the other hand, the research focuses on the use of deconstructive methods to study and analyze the main artistic features of contemporary American animation, and then demonstrates the integration of Chinese and Western cultures and the main artistic expressions in the process of <White Snake>. Combining the current background of Chinese culture towards the world stage, it expounds the issues that Chinese animation should focus on in the future creation activities.
