독일 민속학개론서의 일상문화와 민속학연구소의 일상문화 - Tübingen대학 민속학연구소의 활동을 중심으로 - (Daily Culture between the Outline of German Folklore & Research Institute of Folklore)

초록

본 연구는 독일민속학 개론서를 소개하고 분석하기 위하여 작성되었다. 독일민속학 연구의 역사를 오래되었고 개론서도 많은 편이다. 이러한 이유로 본 연구에서는 T. Kuhn이 패러다임을 핵심개념으로 활용하여 개론서의 특징을 분석하였다.
다음으로 본 연구에서는 독일민속학 개론서의 역사를 Falkenstein대회 이전과 이후로 나누어 정리하였다. Falkenstein대회 이전에 개론서들을 독일민속학의 아버지로 평가되는 W. H. Riehl이 구축한 패러다임과 연관하여 분석하였다. 다음으로 Falkenstein대회 이후에 발행된 개론서 중 일상문화를 중점적으로 기술한 두 편의 개론서를 분석하였다. 근거는 일상문화가 현재 독일민속학의 패러다임을 가장 잘 보여줄 수 있는 대상이기 때문이다. 두 편의 개론서를 주로 집필자의 일상문화에 대한 인식 그리고 연구 방향과 방법을 중심으로 분석하였다.
마지막으로 개론서의 교육 현장의 활용을 분석하기 위하여 Tübingen연구소의 교과과정과 교육 방법 특히 연구소 교육 프로젝트를 기술하고 분석하였다. Tübingen연구소는 기본적으로 연구대상의 사회 및 경제 환경을 일차적으로 주목하여 현지조사를 강조하였고 그리고 경우에 따라서는 철저한 문헌 고증 작업을 진행하는 연구방법을 지향하고 있다. 연구소에서는 세미나, 연구소 프로젝트 등의 다양한 교육 방법으로 전공학생이 연구소 방법론을 전수받도록 하고 있다. 또한 전공학생들이 이러한 방법을 활용하여 연구 대상 집단들의 문화 그리고 문화들이 운영되는 현장인 일상생활에 대하여 학문적 관심을 갖게 하고 있다.
다만 본 연구에서는 일상문화가 강조된 개론서만을 중점적으로 분석하였고 또한 Tübingen연구소의 교육 현장과 방법도 자세히 제시하지 않고 일상문화에 대한 교육 내용만을 중점적으로 기술하였다고 생각한다.
이러한 문제점에도 불구하고 패러다임의 개념을 활용하여 독일민속학의 개론서를 분석하였고 이를 통하여 개론서의 전반적 특징을 나름대로 체계적으로 설명할 수 있었다고 생각한다. 그리고 독일민속학의 연구 경향 특히 일상문화를 중심으로 1970년대 이후 최근까지 독일민속학 민속학 개론서의 특징을 연구 경향과 연관하여 개략적이나마 제시할 수 있었다고 판단된다.

영어초록

This study has been written to introduce and analyze the outline of German Folklore. As you know, the study on German Folklore has a long history with a lot of general remarks. As the reason for it, this study has tried to analyze the characteristic of this outline by utilizing T. Kuhn’s paradigm as the key concept.
Next, this study has arranged the history of outline in German Folklore by dividing into before and after Falkenstein Symposium. We’ve analyzed the general remarks before Falkenstein Symposium by correlating the paradigm which was constructed by W. H. Riehl, who was estimated as Father of German Folklore. Next, we’ve also analyzed two copies of outlines which described daily culture in priority out of general remarks published after Falkenstein Symposium. The ground of it was that daily culture is the most desirable target which can show the paradigm of German Folklore. We’ve analyzed the two copies of general remarks focusing on the author’s recognition for daily culture and its research orientation and method.
Last, we’ve described and analyzed the curriculum of Tübingen Research Institute and its educational method, in especially, its educational project for the purpose of investigating the application of general remarks in the educational field. Tübingen Research Institute basically put an emphasis on field survey by paying attention to the social and economic environment of the study target, furthermore, according to the situations, having been aiming at the study method which is progressing the thorough historical research of textbooks according to the situations. The Research Institute is making themajoring students take over the method of it with a variety of educational methods such as seminars, Lab Project. Into the bargain, it makes the majoring students draw their academic attention for the culture of research target groups and their daily lives, the field operated by culture, by utilizing this type of method.
However, I am of the opinion that this study has analyzed only the general remarks in which daily culture has been emphasized, furthermore, describing only the educational content for the daily culture in priority, without suggesting the educational field and its method in Tübingen Research Institute in detail. In spite of these problems, I think, we’ve analyzed the general remarks of German Folklore by utilizing the concept of paradigm, in addition, through this, we’ve been able to explain the comprehensive characteristic of general remarks systematically. Moreover, it is estimated that we’ve been able to roughly suggest the characteristic of German Folklore and the general remarks of Folklore by correlating its research trend focusing on the daily culture out of the research trend of German Folklore from Nineteen seventies till lately.
