초록

The purpose of the study is developing program for consumer economic education that can be utilized in economics education aimed at school students. For the development of the program, Three children's stories by Vera B. Williams was selected; A chair for my mother, Something special for me, & Music, music for everyone. The reasons these tales were selected and utilized in economics education are; First, they have good quality not only for consumer education but also literarily as picture story book and have beautiful illustrations. Second, consumer economic concept is smoothly included. Third, they have high applicability since teachers can easily get translated ones.
Each activity is proceeded following the process; introducing tales, recalling stories introduced in tales, sharing ideas about related consumer economic concepts, extending shared ideas, and applying activity contents to the real life.
Programs were composed of 6 activities; 'How to save money'& 'We share each other based on story 'A Chair for my mother'. 'The Best Choice' & 'Instead of what I give up' based on story 'Something special for me'. 'I wish to do and I can do', and 'A reward for my labor' based on story 'Music, music for everyone'.
