초록

소철(蘇辙, 1039~1112)은 당송팔대가인 중국 북송(北宋)의 문학가이자 정치가, 사학자로서 그가 집필한 『춘추집해(春秋集解)』는 『춘추(春秋)』에 대한 중요한 평론과 해석한 서적이다. 본 논문은 소철의 『춘추집해』에 나타난 사상적 특징을 살펴보고, 이를 중심으로 소철의 춘추학을 체계적으로 분석하고 설명하고자 한다.
이 글에서는 『춘추집해』에 나타난 소철의 춘추학이 가지는 특징을 중점적으로 분석한다. 즉 ‘존왕(尊王)’으로 대의(大義)를 구현함, ‘예제(禮制)’를 기준으로 역사적 사건을 해설함과 ‘인정(人情)’으로 경(經)을 해석하는 등 춘추학 분야에서 소철의 독특한 공헌과 견해를 파헤친다. ‘존왕(尊王)’은 예로부터 『춘추』를 말하는 자가 주도해 왔다는 의미이며, 소철의 춘추학에서 가장 중요한 사상 중 하나이다. 『춘추집해』에서 ‘충군(忠君)’·‘존왕(尊王)’을 강조한 소철은 『춘추』에서 ‘존왕대의(尊王大義)’의 전통을 계승하면서도 이를 바탕으로 깊이 있게 해석하고 발전시킴으로써 정치윤리와 군신(君臣)의 관계에 대한 이해와 사상을 보여준다. 또한 소철은 공자가 『춘추』를 지은 것은 후세에 가르침을 주기 위한 것으로, 그 기준은 “왕법을 추앙하여 불의를 바로 잡는다[推王法以绳不义].”라고 지적한다. “왕법”이 곧 주나라의 의례 제도이기 때문에 『춘추』의 대의를 알기 위해서는 반드시 ‘예제(禮制)’를 통해 역사적 사실을 판단해야 한다는 것이다. 이외에도 그는 ‘인정설(人情說)’로 경문을 해석할 것을 강조하였다. 춘추시대에는 부자(父子)·형제(兄弟)가 서로를 죽이는 상황이 많았는데, 소철은 매번 혈족 간의 친정(親情)을 사용하여 그들을 책망한다. 이는 『춘추』를 읽는 소철의 독특한 시각이자 중요한 특징이다.
요컨대 소철은 북송(北宋)의 중요한 문학가이자 사상가로서 춘추학의 이해와 발전에 중요한 영향을 끼쳤다. 소철의 춘추학을 연구하는 것은 춘추학이 송나라에서 발전하는 과정을 밝히는 데 도움이 될 뿐만 아니라 『춘추』 연구에 새로운 시각과 아이디어를 제공하고 그 내용을 한층 더 풍부하게 만들 수 있을 것이다.

Su Che (~1112 ) was a writer, politician, and historian during the Northern Song Dynasty. His Collected Annotations of the Spring and Autumn comments on and interprets the Spring and Autumn period, revealing his unique thoughts on the Spring and Autumn Annals. ’s thoughts in his work and to systematically analyze and interpret these thoughts with as the center. This paper focuses on analyzing the characteristics of Su Zhe’s Spring and Autumn studies in Collected Annotations of the Spring and Autumn. Su Zhe’s unique contributions and insights in the field of Spring and Autumn studies are explored, such as “respecting the king” embodies great righteousness, “human feelings” interpret the classics, and the “ritual system” is the standard for interpreting historical events. Su Zhe attaches importance to an accurate understanding and in-depth study of the texts of the Spring and Autumn period, especially textual research of the classics. He takes Zuo Zhuan of Spring and Autumn as the basis and accurately grasps the meaning of “Spring and Autumn” by supplementing books such as Gongyang Zhuan of Spring and Autumn and Guliang Zhuan of Spring and Autumn. “Respecting the king” has been dominated by “Spring and Autumn” since ancient times and is one of the most important ideas in Su Zhe’s Spring and Autumn studies. Su Zhe, who emphasizes “loyalty to the king” and “respecting the king” in , inherited the tradition of “respecting the king and righteousness” in the Spring and Autumn period and made in-depth interpretations and developments based on this, reflecting the understanding and thoughts of political ethics and the relationship between kings and ministers. In addition to using “etiquette” to judge right and wrong, Su Che uses “human feelings” to interpret the scriptures. During the Spring and Autumn period, there were many cases of fathers and sons and brothers killing each other, and Su Che uses blood relationships to blame them every time. As a literary scholar, Su Che points out that previous scholars believed that the Spring and Autumn Annals was sacred, but because there had been no in-depth explanation, they could not see the “righteousness” that clearly appeared in this work. Therefore, if he supplemented it through literary analysis in Collected Annotations of the Spring and Autumn, explained the meaning of words that people tended to overlook, pointed out the accuracy of the terms “Spring” and “Autumn,u or indicated the implicit meaning of a certain sentence, Confucius’o “subtle words and great meanings” could be observed in more detail. This is Su Che’s unique perspective and an important feature of reading Spring and Autumn Annals. In addition, Su Che points out that Confucius wrote Spring and Autumn Annals to teach future generations, so in order to understand the greater meaning of this work, it is necessary to judge historical facts through “etiquette.” In short, Su Che was an important writer and thinker during the Northern Song Dynasty and had a significant impact on the understanding and development of Spring and Autumn studies. This article provides a profound understanding of Su Che’s comprehension and interpretation of Spring and Autumn Annals, revealing his unique academic views and ideological contributions. Studying Su Che’s Spring and Autumn studies will not only help reveal their development during the Song Dynasty but will also provide new perspectives and ideas for the study of Spring and Autumn Annals and enrich its content.
