XML을 이용한 범죄경고 및 예방 스마트폰 어플리케이션 연구 (A Study on a Smartphone Application for the Warning and Prevention of Crime using Extensible Mark-up Language)

초록

지금까지의 국내 연구들은 범죄의 검거방식보다는 범죄심리나 범죄예방 정책 등에 주력해왔다. 범죄를 일으키는 원인을 미연에 방지하는 것도 좋겠지만, 범인을 검거하여 발생한 범죄가 다시 일어나지 않도록 검거율을 보다 높이는 데도 노력이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 발생한 범죄에 대한 범인의 검거율을 높이고 추가범죄 발생을 방지하여 범죄율을 감소시키기 위하여 범죄 예방 및 검거를 위한 스마트 폰 어플리케이션을 개발하고자 하였다. 어플리케이션의 주요방식은 사이버 경찰청 서버에 등록된 공개수배자를 발견이 유력한 지역, 예를 들어 범죄가 일어난 장소, 혹은 용의자의 거주지, 고향 주변 등의 메타 데이터를 수집하여 Cell방식 위치 측위기반 방식을 통해 그 유력 지역에 위치한 휴대폰 어플리케이션 사용자에게 공개수배자 알리미 서비스 멀티메시지로 푸시정보가 제공되는 방식이다. 이는 범죄가 일어난 지역이나, 수배자의 거주지 주변, 수배자의 고향 등 특정 지역에 한정하여 서비스가 되기 때문에 아주 정확한 위치정보가 필요한 것이 아니라 오차율이 수백 미터에서 수 킬로미터 이르는 Cell 방식의 위치기술로 충분한 데이터 서비스가 가능하다. 어플리케이션의 형태는 경찰청 홈페이지의 정보를 XML로 메타 데이터화하여 이를 가공해 어플리케이션의 형태로 제공한다. 사진 이미지를 중심으로 제공하며 필요한 경우 텍스트 데이터를 추가적으로 보여준다. 필요한 경우 범죄에 관련된 뉴스를 검색할 수 있고, 용의자를 발견했을 경우 핫키를 이용하여 즉시 용의자를 경찰에 신고할 수 있도록 한다.

Related Korean studies to date have been focused on criminal psychology or crime prevention policies rather than arrest by type of crimes. Such would be good for preventing the causes in criminals in advance and yet, it is necessary to exert an effort to raise the arrest rate by arresting criminals so that there should be no recurrent crime. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a smart phone application for crime prevention and arrests in order to enhance the arrest rate of criminals for existing crimes and to reduce the crime rate by preventing the occurrence of additional crimes. The major type of the application is to collect meta-data of regions which are very probable for finding the publicly wanted criminal who has been registered in the server of the cyber National Police Agency, such as the place where the crime happened, or the residence of the suspect, or areas around his hometown, and to offer Push information as a multi-message of a publicly wanted criminal informing service to mobile phone application users who are located in those prime regions, through the cell type location-base method. This provides services limited to specific regions such as the region where the crime occurred, or the surrounding of the residence of the wanted criminal or the hometown of the wanted criminal; thus, it does not need highly accurate location information, and it is possible to furnish sufficient data services with a cell type location technology for which the errors range from hundreds of meters to several meters. In terms of the application form, the application converts information in the National Police Agency website as meta-data with XML, processes the data, and provides it in the form of an application. The application mainly provides photo images and displays text data additionally if necessary. Whenever necessary, it is possible to search news concerning crimes, and it helps to report a suspect to the police by using a hot key immediately after discovering the suspect.
