『지셔ᄌᆡ자명록』수록 가사 작품의 담론 특성과 의미 (Poems of the Chisyŏjechamyŏngnok and their Discourse Characteristics)

초록

본고는 학계에 알려지지 않은 『지셔ᄌᆡ자명록』을 소개하고, 여기에 수록된 가사 작품의 실상을 파악하는 데에 목적이 있다. 『지셔ᄌᆡ자명록』은 한글박물관에 기증된 자료로서 이에 대한 간략한 소개만 있을 뿐 자료에 대한 학술적 접근은 이루어지지 못했다. 이에 본고는 『지셔ᄌᆡ자명록』이 일제강점기 대구 인근 지묘동에 세거했던 경주 최씨 집안의 가훈서이며, 당시 시대적 상황 및 향촌 지식인의 의식을 엿볼 수 있는 중요한 자료임을 밝혔다. 아울러 여기에 실린 한글 가사 작품의 수록 양상과 작품 현황을 밝히고, 가사 작품의 주된 담론 특성을 분석하였다.『지셔ᄌᆡ자명록』 수록 가사는 향촌 사족의 집안 구성원을 염두에 둔 교훈가사로서, 오륜과 역사라는 두 가지 담론을 담고 있음을 확인하였다. 그리고 각각의 작품 분석을 통해 도덕교육으로서 오륜 담론을, 교양교육으로서 역사읽기를 시도하면서도 기존의 작품과는 다른 양상을 드러내고 있음을 분석하였다. 인간관계를 염두에 둔 오륜 담론이 근신과 보신의 양상으로 검열이 강화되는 양상이 그것이고, 중국과 조선의 역사읽기가 교양교육에 그치지 않고 국권 상실이라는 현실위기를 반영하고 있는 모습이 그것이다. 이는 당대 지역의 향촌 사회 변동 및 시대적 상황과 밀접하게 관련되어 있다.
이를 바탕으로 할 때, 본고는 『지셔ᄌᆡ자명록』 수록 가사 작품을 통해 20세기 초 대구를 중심으로 한 지역 향촌사회의 변동과 시대에 대한 대응을 살피고, 이와 관련한 교훈가사의 전승을 확인하는 기회가 될 것이다.

영어초록

This study aims to introduce the Chisyŏjechamyŏngnok (지셔ᄌᆡ자명록), which are not well-known in the academic community, and provide an understanding of the realities of the lyrical verse s included in these records. This book were donated to the which has provided a basic explanation of the records; however, the records have not been examined from an academic standpoint. This study reveals that the records were a collection of “house rules” of the Kyungju family, who lived in Chimyo-dong near Daegu during the Japanese Occupation Period. Moreover, the study reveals that the records are important historical source material that provide a glimpse into the situation of the time and the consciousness of rural village-based intellectuals. The study further reveals the records included in the Hangul-based lyrical verses and their current status, and analyzes the characteristics of the main discourses in the lyrical verses.
The lyrical verses included in the Chisyŏjechamyŏngnok are aimed at imparting lessons to members of the family, and they contain two discourses pertaining to the five cardinal human relationships and history. This study analyzed each lyrical verse in an attempt to understand the moral educational discourse of the five cardinal human relationships and to conduct an educational refinement-based reading of history, and found that the lyrical verses show differences with existing works. The discourse on the five cardinal human relationships displays a strong degree of censorship that includes being careful about what one says or does and the protection of one’s physical body, and it also moves beyond educational refinement-based history reading by reflecting the crisis involving the loss of Korean national sovereignty at the time.
The lyrical verses of the Chisyŏjechamyŏngnok hold the following significance: First, the lyrical verses allow confirmation of the level of education conducted within a distinguished family in a rural village near Daegu during the 20thCentury. Second, they allow confirmation of the passing down of lesson-based poem sin the early20th Century and the characteristics of the sepoems. The records provide an important opportunity to examine the change sin rural village society near Daegu in the early20thCentury and how local communities reacted to these changes ,along with confirming that lesson-based lyrical verses were indeed passed down through generations.
