초록

영화는 시간이동의 예술이다. 이것을 증명하듯 많은 영화 이론가들이 영화적 시간을 세분화했다. 키스 코헨(Keith Cohen)은 추상적 시간, 심리적 시간, 체험적 시간으로, 랖프 스티븐슨과 장 R. 데브릭스는 물리적시간, 극적 시간, 심리적 시간으로 이론화 했다. 본고는 영화적 시간을 프레임 안의 시간과 프레임 밖의시간으로 규정하고, 알폰소 쿠아론(Alfonso Cuaron)의 이투마마(And Your Mother Too)라는 영화의 작품분석을 통해, 영화프레임 안에서 표현되는 극적과거, 극적현재, 극적미래라는 세 가지 시간의 분류가 가능함을알았다. 그는 극적과거를 공간을 이용한 사진이미지로, 극적현재를 배우의 움직임과 소리로, 극적미래를보이스-오버로 나타냈다. 그것보다 더 중요한 것은 프레임 안의 세 가지 시간을 영화스타일 요소인 롱 테이크를 이용하여 한 쇼트에 담아냈다는 것이다. 이를 통해 롱 테이크는 시간적 특성 즉 동시성을 구현하는 스타일도구로 재조명된다.

영어초록

The cinema is a time-shifted work of art. As a lot of film theorists proved it to be right, they subdivided the cinematic time. Keith Cohen theorized that he classified it into the abstract time, the psychological time and the experiential time. Ralph Stephenson and Jean R. Debrix made the establishment of a theory that they categorized it into the physical time, the dramatic time and the psychological time. This paper stipulated that it was assorted into two factor’s time which was implied by an inside frame and an outside frame as well as I have comprehended that the time expressed by an inside frame of a movie made it possible to divide the three kinds of time into the dramatic past, the dramatic present and the dramatic future when I analyzed a production, And Your Mother Too, of Alfonso Cuaron. He played an important role in the field of creative production that he made the dramatic past to be expressed in photo images utilized space, the dramatic present to be revealed in actor's movements and sounds as well as he used the dramatic future to be implicit in the voice-over skill. What is more important is that he was able to incorporate the inside frame comprising the three kinds of time which was made use of an element, the long-take technique, that is essential to the screen style in a short. As he made an application of it, the long-take technicality which is one of the style’s implements is refocused by embodying a characteristic of the cinematic time, in other words, the simultaneity.
