초록

The purpose of this study is to reveal which character makes novels published with Japanese written by Lee Kwang-Soo to help Japanese imperialists. This paper focused on not Lee Kwang-Soo's behavior how much and how to cooperate Japanese imperialists but his creative technic represented on his novels published with Japanese. This paper also analysed the relationships between his novels and his theory of nationalism.
This study shows that his novels published with Japanese could be classificated three types. But his novels published with Japanese are revealed lack of the personality concerned Japanese nationalism. So main characters are always representated korean to be negatively and Japanese to be positively. The orphan hood in Lee Kwang-Soo's inner mind is influenced his novels. He want to replace korean nationality with Japanese nationality. So he put emphasis upon all kinds of writings expression of new writer's individuality. So his novels published with Japanese are almost “I” stories but literature of enlightenment. That's why his novels published with Japanese had an imbalance on the narratives.
